ah yes..the day of Pentacost. Im not denying the power of the holy spirit. I believe in the gifts of the spirit as well. But this, my friend, seems more "occultish" than divine. The reason being, is because churches today have based their doctrine on what they can see; what they feel; instead of the word of God. I understand this subject very well actually. I have studied it and myself experienced wonderful moments in the presence of God, but this is out of control, something the bible discourages. Alot of these so-called encounters, are simply a climax of emotions and for those around, psychological pressure. To me this isnt considered fruit really; Just an emotional experience based on a false premise or idea of, yes, a true doctrine, but heavily distorted. You should study this more. theology is key.

Are these people just now recieving the Holy Spirit? I grew up in a pentecostal church and seen numerous events like this...maybe it's because I always felt left out due to not feeling the oogly googlys or never feeling like I drank a bottle of wine, but you know one thing I felt?...that there was something not quite right about this and yet God has annointed me to preach his word, He has annointed my hands to lay them on the sick for his Glory, he has proven his love to me.
Don't get me wrong, I believe there is a Power from God that falls upon a man and the feeling is pure bliss, I have had a few, and it's the realization that you have been saved from hell and you are now on your way to heaven to be with Jesus for eternity. There is nothing like it, I have been saved from near death experiences by the Power of God and remember weeping and dancing from joy because of his mercy. God receives glory when we praise Him and share the gospel with people that has the power to save. He does NOT receive glory when people desire 'emotional experiences' that can be experienced in the 'new age/new spirituality' moves of today. People need to hear the gospel to become 'saved!' They will only go into a REAL 'fire tunnel' when they get thrown into hell, because they never heard the good news that Jesus took God's wrath for our sins upon Himself, so we would not end up in hell.

No, I do not believe it to be from the Spirit simply because there is nothing here that is edifying to the body or convicting of sin. You can search all of scripture and see that neither Christ nor anyone else ascribed such action or behaviors to either the Spirit or anyone else.
"Rapture" comes from the Latin for "caught up" which the Bible clearly states will happen. No matter what name you use the teaching is there. There is nothing in scripture to even hint at anything like this.

Look plain and simple, there should be order in the church and reason (1 Cor 14:17-19) the church needs to get back to the basics of church life. The word of God. Taking scripture out of context and using it as a pretext to support these things is not only wrong, but dangerous.

ah yes..the day of Pentacost. Im not denying the power of the holy spirit. I believe in the gifts of the spirit as well. But this, my friend, seems more "occultish" than divine. The reason being, is because churches today have based their doctrine on what they can see; what they feel; instead of the word of God. If you read into the passage of Acts within the correct context, original language, and in reference with other verses, You will find that the bible never promotes this behavior.

I understand this subject very well actually. I have studied it and myself experienced wonderful moments in the presence of God, but this is out of control, something the bible discourages. Alot of these so-called encounters, are simply a climax of emotions and for those around, psychological pressure. To me this isnt considered fruit really; Just an emotional experience based on a false premise or idea of, yes, a true doctrine, but heavily distorted. You should study this more. theology is key.

you're stating that intelligence stands apart from Truth!? Ofcourse not! As I said, I HAVE experienced the glory of God's presence. Not to say that God's presence is limited to a certain form of environment, but to be honest, this is just not it. The bible talks that in the latter days, light will 'combat' with light. Everything seems permissible. If there is a verse that states I can have snakes during service people would do it. This is just another form of taking something true, to extremes.

no, I believe he does. I believe He leaves behind direct clues and doctrinal views on how he wants church to function. Subjectivity has taken over all aspects of church life unfortunately. I keep hearing "revival! REVIVAL!." no. What todays church needs is a reformation. A love for the word of God, not just seeing things happen and basing beliefs and doctrines off of 'experiences.' I know, because I was in this whole system man. I love you too bro, but you need to pray for discernment. End times

Another thing you are saying is that I must experience this first before judging it, yet, this assumption self-destructs in the end as well. If I see something that is not according to the light of the word, i am entitled to expose it, not 'try' it and then decide. Same with other un-doctrinal things not just this. So, the real problem here is that we disagree on what and how the word explains this. And that, opens up another discussion. I am open to anything really! as long as it's biblical.

I grew up in a pentecostal church and seen numerous events like this...maybe it's because I always felt left out due to not feeling the oogly googlys or never feeling like I drank a bottle of wine, but you know one thing I felt?...that there was something not quite right about this and yet God has annointed me to preach his word, He has annointed my hands to lay them on the sick for his Glory, he has proven his love to me.

Don't get me wrong, I believe there is a Power from God that falls upon a man and the feeling is pure bliss, I have had a few, and it's the realization that you have been saved from hell and you are now on your way to heaven to be with Jesus for eternity. There is nothing like it, I have been saved from near death experiences by the Power of God and remember weeping and dancing from joy because of his mercy. God receives glory when we praise Him and share the gospel with people that has the power to save. He does NOT receive glory when people desire 'emotional experiences' that can be experienced in the 'new age/new spirituality' moves of today. People need to hear the gospel to become 'saved!' They will only go into a REAL 'fire tunnel' when they get thrown into hell, because they never heard the good news that Jesus took God's wrath for our sins upon Himself, so we would not end up in hell.

Again, you are returning to experience as the measure of the truth, or validity of a thing. Experience is subjective. To use it as you standard would mean you would have to accept that truth is relative - it would have to be to conform to the varying level and quality of experiences.
You say you know it's legit. I am willing to be convinced if you can show me, with scripture in context, that such a thing does not contradict what God has told us of the ministry of the Spirit in scripture.

There is nothing biblical about this. This is deception, people mistaking an experience as validation. Trouble is experience is subjective, and the human heart is fickle and easily deceived.
No thank you, I would rather trust God's word to confirm a true moving of the Spirit. Also note how an experience like this is not to be found. Even at Pentecost people understood the languages spoken. This is chaos.

But there is nothing in scripture that defines joy in the Lord in anything that even comes close to this. Also, "happiness" is a very vague term. If we define it according to scripture and define a corporate meeting of the body according to scripture you will find this also falls short.
Cocaine makes people happy - does happiness automatically equate to godliness?
This is why our salvation, peace, and joy rests not on how we feel or what we experience, but what God has stated.

Again, you are basing your judgment of the godliness of something on your experience, thus you can say it is legit. But what does God's word say? God is not the author of confusion, that everything should be done decently and in order.
I assure you that my intent is not to argue, and I'm glad neither of us is upset at the other. My intent is to show there is no scriptural basis for this at all. By your reasoning happiness equals godly. If that is true, then Cocaine would be godly.

No, I do not believe it to be from the Spirit simply because there is nothing here that is edifying to the body or convicting of sin. You can search all of scripture and see that neither Christ nor anyone else ascribed such action or behaviors to either the Spirit or anyone else.
"Rapture" comes from the Latin for "caught up" which the Bible clearly states will happen. No matter what name you use the teaching is there. There is nothing in scripture to even hint at anything like this.

I was wondering the same thing. I don't understand what these fire tunnels are and what they represent. I personally don't get any spirituality vibes from this video. It seemed more like a chaotic choo-choo train at a concert until I realized it was a religious event.
I'm not dissing churches or their practices but in my mind God is the creator of earth and all things. I think the last thing he wants to do is see us dabbling around like drunk people on the "holy ghost" as Imuchick19 stated.

Read I Tim 3, specifically v15. If bishops and deacons were instructed on how to behave, in and out of God's house, is this appropriate behavior for an entire congregation? Where's ANY reverence for Jesus, Lord of Lords, King of Kings?

If this is genuinely of the Spirit, why does it (patently) please the flesh so much??The Spirit and the flesh are "CONTRARY the one to the other" (Gal. 5:17).
We are to "walk NOT after the flesh, but after the SPIRIT" (Rom. 8:4)

yes i did test the spirits and i studied this and honestly it did take me a while to come to the conclusion that it was from God. because it wasnt something i thought God would do. it seemed totally out of order and crazy. im not trying to prove to you that this is right, i know i cant do that over comments. i would just ask you to ask God to tell you about it and dont ask Him with an answer in your head already.
