@killakerb its what i call double picking, pick the top string down, up, and down again, start out slow and once you get it pick up speed and you'll hear it. I was stoked when i accidently found out how to do it.

And on real guitar you use more than 5 frets :) Guitar Hero takes the basic idea- have your fingers in the right place at the right time, and sync it up with your picking. But it stops there- no real chords, no string bending, no "feel," etc. Although I've heard that there's some new Guitar Hero or Rock Band game where there's a more realistic guitar.

@Dillon55555555556 Man I don't really play Guitar Hero, I just played it a few times, and I don't really like it, but the truth is that anyone with a few fingers can play guitar. Switching from the game to a real guitar, you're gonna find a lot of things are different. There's a lot more detail that goes into actually playing. I would compare it to playing a racing game and then driving a real car. But I say go for it, seriously, anyone can play guitar. Just have to practice.

@mouloudo It's pretty easy actually, the part after the accoustic solo is just 5th string 3 - 2 -3 - 2 - 2 - 3 -5 with 6th string open or fills between. Then the next part is 4th string 2, 5th string 2, 4th string 4, 5th string 3, 6th string open then a 5th string 3rd fret power. The second part of that is almost exactly the same, except instead of the power chord you just go 3-2 on 6th, open 1st/2nd, 2-1 on 6th, open 1st/2nd, 1-0 on 6th, and back into it. Good Abysslord Megatdeth for tabs.

Only because I didn't study music or music theory. I'm glad he's calling out the frets and strings. It lets me just jump in and play.

at 1:00 where you go to those high parts, it's the same as jumping to the 7th fret on the 5th string, which is how I've always played it. I watched the live videos and Dave plays it the same way you are. oh well :)
