It's too bad it's not 4WD though. Even on lower powered cars, it can be a huge advantage. My Alfa Romeo 164 2.0 turbo is now running with the spare on the right front wheel. It happens the same as on this Volvo, once it gets to peak torque it loses traction. How many km do you get on your tires?

the light flashing on and off on his dash is the windscreen washer fluid light, coz its low the light comes on when he boots it and all the fluid sloshes to the back of the bottle!

I think that what appear as 0 at the bottom of the gauge is actually a 10 litres. I'm not sure about the T5 but it is this way on other 850's.

Besides the turbo installed, supporting fuel has to be added, engine has to be torn down and built to hold it, after 300 the rods and pistons have to be replaced with forged or better parts. Probably head is ported, valves and cams done too. Then hope you don't blow your tranny. Don't try this on a stock auto.

Oops I didn't even notice I hit 300, I meant after 400, if you wanna push to 500 thats your choice, but most on volvospeed consider 400 the upper limit of the T5 engine. Then higher boost in lower gears risk the rods, even though they MIGHT hold 500 hp in second gear and higher, they're weak at high boost in first, thats where they show their weakness.

its a volvo. The stock tranny can easily handle 350 hp. Thats being very safe. The ecu tuning kit you can buy from MTE brings a S60 T5 from 250 to 305 hp all safe and 100% guaranteed to not damage the car in any way. They are not called tanks without a reason.

I said don't try THIS on a stock auto tranny, at a minimum I would put at least a tranny cooler on there (no, not the stock radiator one, an external unit) and do changes at least twice a year. You're also comparing an S60 to an 850, not the same car. Even on the same transmission, 500+ is alot more to handle then 305. I don't think the HP is the issue, really, it's the torque, but you generally increase both when you mod for power.

Talking of building costs such mods would probably be around 12-13000 Euro, tho it depends on lots of stuff. The price listed above would fit DIY best (you get parts, you build). If a company does it for you, probably twice as much. (In scandinavia anyways)
