These were the glory days at Wednesday.Promoted from the old 3rd division in 79/80. we won at Barnsley 3.0 i think it was the first away game of the season.
Cant beleive now how we used to stand on the cop in rain snow and sleet,but away fans were under cover,THATS WRONG INNIT-)
I miss the atmosphere of places like a packed Milmore,Saltergate,Grimsby. etc.
And look how times have changed,we beat Blackburn home and away to get promotion,they were a decent 3rd div team then with small crowds. -)

RIP Peter Springett and Ian Porterfield.
Rodger Wylde what a star he was at Oakwell. Written off but came good again. Great days. Its not the same now I struggle with the players names.
