  • Fett gemacht

  • nice job

  • great!

  • Totally awesome ! A great version! More please!

  • the way its composed maybe not my favourite, very slow, but the sound is super. a PC cant beat an analog syntheseizer

  • This reminds me of the music from the 80s game Digger.

Was a fun game and played it a bunch back in the day. ^.^

  • ooohhh daaayym! dis sum mario brus shit here! dis shit is TIGHT!

  • Why so few modules in such a big rack?

  • @frotz661 because those were the first modules that I bought. The good thing about modular synths is that you can expand your synth whenever you want so it's good to have a lot of space to expand your system.

  • @Thalassa77

    That isn't a dotcom-made rack, is it?

  • @frotz661 It's a custom made cabinet :)

  • @Thalassa77 I really like that arpeggio is that a generated arpeggio or self played?

The tambourine sounds as good as real for me.

I think it's wonderful and perhaps even better than the original!!!

  • @Thalassa77 Is that a V2?

  • wow thats what a synthersizer is LOL i thought it was a type of keyboard plugeed into a laptop *slaps forhead*

  • @Drpissed *rewinds life and unslaps forehead* It can be anything that "sythesizes" or generates sound. 80's had synths too.

  • @Drpissed Same concept.

  • sweeet

  • very awesome, but on that arp part, maybe you should turn the attack down so it wont lag. sounds awesome!

  • man this takes me back to the time my sisters gave me my first record: the 'popcorn' single when i was 4... great!!!

  • lower tempo sounds pretty good, awesome work

  • BRAVO!!

  • I assume a MIDI to CV box was used?

  • Of course, it's the second module on the bottom row

  • @MichaelJHuman Midi to Castlevania?

  • very good video besides that it is difficult to use these synthesizer, but ..? which used synthesizer will I make is "moog", please respond

  • ¡Geeeeeeee...nial...! clap! clap! clap! clap!

  • Wow - great version of this classic and nice Modular synth you've got there!

  • I wanted to speak to you about Dream On...what vocoder is that? Is a beautiful track...

  • wow, Dream on is very old track :) , nice that you remember it. I think that the vocoder that I used was Orange Vocoder but was so long time ago that I'm not sure.

  • did you multitrack each sound in turn? How come you did this with one VCO?

  • yes, I've multitrack each sound and all are made with just one VCO, the trick to get interesting sounds is make layers of sounds.. No other equipment was used , only the computer to run the sequencer.

  • That filter sounds great.

  • this is fantastic!!! i love just imagining myself in like some super retro future cruisin in a flying car pumpin this beat!!!!

  • Great job and congratulations! I've seen at least 50 modular synth videos on YouTube and I think this is only the 2nd time I've seen someone actually make music on a modular synth (although it was probably played by a PC). (I'm bet some people are awestruck to discover that music can be made on a modular synth!) Most of the videos just feature noise, patch cords, and knob twiddling, or those random, non-musical sequences (courteousy of the Klee Sequencer) that are capable of boring the dead!

  • arriba esos modulares thalassa!

  • very well done. doing this on the modular is on my todo list.

  • it's always fun do things like this :)

  • Is this the starting model? Im thinking about doing there payment plan or saving up for a moog but that'll probably never happen.

  • Hehe very nice version, very simillar to original version from 70's, how about a version from 80's (m&h Band) ?

  • eh, wrong!!! don't you know original is from Gershon Kingsley in 1969. Hot Butter version from 1972 is only a cover, but it is most famous version of that song.

  • SOUNDS LIKE GARY NEUMAN SONGS

  • :) great video nice to see that machine in action.

  • What a creative use of a small system . . . great work!

  • It still lacks power

  • ok rendition, lacks power and depth that Gershon Kingsley had, in his version, it also sounds as if you used a digital synth for some elements. not being mean here, just constructively critical.

  • No digital synths were used, only drums are not from this modular system.

  • awesome job with such a small system !!!

  • I dig it man! And Popcorn is always good...if done right!

  • Thanks :), I love this song since many years ago, so I decide to make a cover just as experiment with my brand new modular.I funny way to learn to work with the synth

  • OMG...really impressive!

  • Does the description mean that all the three sounds were from one oscillator AT THE SAME TIME?"

  • no, all sounds are made using on VCO, but it's multitrack recorded. Think that it's a monophonic synthesizer.

  • Great. I bought the single when i was a kid when it first came out. (10 years old). Excellent sequencing. Keep it up!!

  • Wow, that is a good job using such a minimal synth! Are you planning on future expansion?

  • Since that moment,I bought a few modules more. Now the modular is 2vco, 1vcf,2Adsr,mixer,slew limiter, sample and hold and noise. And will be growing :)

  • Very nice track. Nice wooden box too... (drool) :)

  • Excellent!

  • Thanks :)

  • What kind of power supply is it that you've got in the back there?

  • it's the synthesizers . com power supply.

  • oh shit yaaaaaa that is an awsome machine

  • yes it's true, sounds amazing :), the best synth I ever had

  • How th heck do you get a synthesizer to play what you want??? I don't see any thing that makes it play notes.

  • It's sequeced by computer that is outside of the screen, you can see the midi interface reciving notes ( second module on the left in the second row )

  • awesome

  • Very well done.

  • Yummy! I need some Hot Butter on that Popcorn!

  • EPIC!
