@darknagual Same but this is by far their best. I wish they would make more songs like this. You know, soft and slow for the majority of the track and right at the end, unleash all that bottled emotion.
I haven't listen to this band in months now. But I notice this band today, and I felt in love again. The lyrics and the atmosphere. It all just come together in one tune. Its bringing me to rest everything. I mean that art can come out in every form like a picture or a book. But the lyrics in insomnium are poets, and the tune of the songs fits so perfect to the writing. And the harsh vocals repeats its unique form of a truly art.
First time i heard this song, and one earphone does not work...so i can't really hear the lyrics properly! or the God damn song! sounds like it's epic though =)
The guitar playing from the start, comes the drums, the tune and melody going along perfectly altogether and then at 1:50 the whole song explodes to a new level of awesomeness, blowing the mind away in utopia.
@basstard013 all that short and they keep amazing us all the time ;) imagine what could happen to us if we heard longer songs, i would die from euphoria ;D its for our sake buddy ;D
I love Agalloch too! Just that they don't have as many great tracks like Insomnium do. 70% of Insomnium's stuff just blows me away, while it would be like 30% for Agalloch.
@thetronrobot definitely check out dark tranquillity, eluveitie, amon amarth and swallow the sun. they are amazing bands as well, though only insomnium has some magical soulful feeling to their music
Man, they did played this as i imagined...on the start of their performance, and as the end, the have played Weighed Down With Sorrow...then we all made a ultra applause, so they came back and played Daughter of the moon...it was epic..and also, i got guitarists pick and i shaked his hand!
Jadass try Kalmah. My other favorite band. Noumena is also worth checking. Oh and one pearl I just found...its just a single song, singed in finnish but so beautiful. Morfiinisiivet by Mustan Kuun Lapset.
i have not yet found a insomnium song that i have not liked

I love how it just builds and builds in instensity, rising gradually to where it almost sounds happy, then "RAAAH!"
That really got me the first time.

The only problem is that it's so fucking short! Damn, most Insomnium songs are too short, even the long ones.

I've read about the new album at a german online metal magazine, where this album Across the dark became "Album of the Month: September 09".
And hell yeah, this first song of the album is very beautyful. I like it.
