I understand that this is a kind of homage to the Japanese Iron Chef television show, but this show takes kitsch to a whole new level and frankly I think it's too much. The sharp and unnecessary sound effects and the ridiculousness of the "chairman" just turn me off. That said, when the cooking gets started, this show is very entertaining and I do enjoy it.
