Dudley Leblanc was the inventor of Hadacol and he did fairly well with it.....In 1950 Hadacol grossed at least $20 million within its sales area of 22 states.....not bad for a bottle of Tonic with a hit...er..er.....a lot of alcohol and B12,,,,,,,
Hadacol was an over the counter "tonic" which was popular in New Orleans particularly because it was basically booze and sales were brisk during prohibition. I think this might even have been a Hadacol jingle.
@hassledguy I knew it was used as a substitute for booze during prohibition and even by kids who had an easier time getting their hands on it either at a drugstore or the old medicine cabinet. As for this song being from a Hadacol jingle, it wouldn't surprise me.

From what I understand, this single was pulled off the market because it was viewed as being too much of a commercial for Hadacol...
