@Julstrud just a tip...looks like its struggling a bit trying to push the snow up hill and you are causing A LOT of excess wear and tear, do yourself a favor and push it down...? if i had my xp 850 i wouldnt care to go uphill but like someone else said watch the heat buildup without low range and a the belt system..
@wikedws6 Yeah I know ;) I'm usually plowing it downhill, but just have to show Youtube that it is possible, even though its bette to plow downhill :)
so how does ur hawkeye do without a Low gear? does the hawkeye need a low gear to plow? i got a sportsman 300 exactly the same rlly. it doesnt have a low. and my family says i need a low gear to plow w/o breaking anything.
@Mitymidgettohell you dont need a low gear just remember dont pussy foot the throtle using high if you do the belt will slip just use high and run heavy on the throttle thatll keep the tires spinnin and the belt from sslipping causing heat and failure
* hawkeye. lol i like the " ha ha" part, that happens. i noticed my plows spings r too tight cuz sometimes when i hit something the plow wont tip forward. does that happen with yours? i do know how to fix that though
hey dude, is the shifter on your hawkeye hard to move sometimes, like from forward to reverse you have to either rock the machine a little or pull it hard?
@slickdespain Thank-you! I was going to loosen them up but i might try using oil or lube also. i don't think i need new springs because they're brand new, but thank-you very much! :D
lol nice plowing. i got the same hakeye same size plow and same brand and chains. i love plowing. so fun. i dont use the chains much cuz i dont need them unless the snow is deep. keep havin' fun dude! P.S. i got a winch 4 it too.
yes the only thing different is the name litterally and color>.> mines indy red but its awd same as urs the red hawkeye is 2x4 other than color its same thing
my winch was around 600 bux and a good plow can be between 500-1000 or you can make a real plow like me for nothing using old steel you have laying around in the garage
im going to get a video of mine pushing somthing soon ... no snow here yet form some reason ... i put it on the other day to push some dirt tho .. maybe ill push somemore dirt and make a video LOL
sorry never mind i have a glaicer plow system #2......... but does urs go through ware blades fast if not to you you the pads and the sides to take the beating??
not at all I had the Grizzly and every time I rid it, it stoped randomly in the middle of the trail. now I have the hawkeye and it hasnt let me down yet, so suck on that
Nice video. Are this a strong machine? I like the size. Would like to use it for work in the forest. With a winch I guess it will be powerful :)
Love Metallica too

@Mitymidgettohell naaa, i dont recon its necessary with the low gear, if its not to deep or heavy snow you will do fine without the low gear ;)

midnightrider326 2 years ago
@Julstrud have you ever had any problems with your rear half-shafts? We had to get both replaced because they were shot at like 600 miles.
svtman15 1 year ago
@svtman15 yeah, i think I replaced one of the rear half shaft couple of years ago, dont know the reason why it got broken..

killere56 2 years ago

and i use awd all the time yes..
Julstrud 2 years ago
k thx but ive heard its bad to be in awd when u are going pretty fast
killere56 2 years ago
yeah, you can feel the difference but when you are plowing you shouldn't go too fast, or at least i dont, so it isnt a problem.
Julstrud 2 years ago
how fast u normaly go? sorry for all the questions i just got a hawkeye 2 weeks ago and cant wait to get a plow and a which thx =}
killere56 2 years ago
i never drive faster than around 20 kmh ;)
Enjoy your new ride!

he is in 2wd bc if u watch from 1:12 to 1:18 onley the back wheel is spining,
itouchmark1590 2 years ago
actually, itouchmark1590, the wheels in the back spin faster sometimes than the wheels in front, even if he was in 4wd.

Julstrud 3 years ago
thx:) about how much cm of snow would it be able to push before it starts to have difuculties?
carpel1002 3 years ago
it depends if the snow is wet or not..
but i would say about 25-35 cm (or more) if its dry snow, but when the snow is wet, its maybe 15 cm ;)
