  • Jodi: Listen, I shouldn't have bitten off your head either. I'm sorry about that.

Daria: Don't worry about it; I was tired of that head anyway.

    haha

  • they eat so much pizza in this omg

  • LOLZ Trent dressed up as Daria :DD-3 @6:31

  • Go Jodie! Sometimes I think Daria's problem is that she doesn't have a filter on her mouth. She says what's on her mind without thinking about the people around her, which almost cost her to lose her only friend.

  • Chenalos thats so true about Jodie, not many other characters are on the same intellect level as Daria

  • aww man, i love that part b/w jane and daria at the end :)

  • did kevin say the f word

  • @Fabalocious - point taken but whatever ones colour is it is pretty irritating when one has a sense of entitlement that has nothing to do with their personal merit. The reverse is equally true.

  • Mac's monotonousness is really funny XD

  • Brittany needs to hang out with Daria's gang ... If I knew a girl like her I'd keep her with me, the girl is pedophile, rape prone.

  • this going with the debte thingy going on about 2 months ago. Ys black people have it hard... in north america because the most well know cases happened here. this works out where ever you go because racism is geological. where one rase is treated poorly that counrty will have people who are rasist towards them due to the propaganda/media that tells them. and this also works in reverse, the people who were treated badly will have their biases agains the people who treated them bad.

  • @CrouchingKenny the song is called any day now by Bif Naked =)

  • does anybody know what song is used in the end credits? I want it! :D

  • 6:16 Pink Flamingo

  • arent janes eyes green? why they blue in this episode?

  • jane's look reminds me of nana

  • this is an amusing debate you 2 got goin on here

  • @TheSickLullabies8290 I would like you to notice a few things about this supposed "argument" they're having if you would. The first being that they rarely ever actually address the content of the previous comment aimed at them. With specific exceptions that I will mention in a second. By and large they seem to almost be participating in separate conversations entirely. My theory is that what they hurl at each other in turn are pieces of previous arguments they've had with other people.

  • @TheSickLullabies8290 Especially the bits that they didn't think up until their previous argument was over. I notice this a lot and I think it's a large factor towards the continued decline of public discourse. The second thing and the specific exceptions I mentioned are people's disappointing tendency to try to find something in their opponent's comment to mock before addressing the actual content. As much as they ever do anyway. This more than anything hurts every attempt at decent discussion.

  • @enthropy161 i don't throw pity parties for myself. i'm not 95% of black people, remember? ;)

haha. you're getting all mad online. so funny! LOL

  • @enthropy by the way, i never once stated that a white couldn't be racist, but you proved my original point by showing that blacks can be racist as well. and that they look through a looking glass to the past in order to justify making others feel sorry for them.

no. everyone has had it hard at some point or another. if you think getting ahead in life by race is how you're going to get ahead at all, obviously the really ignorant person is the one who believes that logic. :)

    thanks though!

  • @enthropy i'm sorry i don't like racist blacks to fill up my inbox. i'm busy doing things on my own without any handouts or freebies from the government on no academic or vocational basis.

but it sure is amusing to see you get so mad, you try to be condescending through the internet. awww. how cute. hahaha. :)

  • @enthropy161 "blah blah i'm black. feel bad for me, blah blah blah." anything else? :) you amuse me. hahaha.

  • @enthropy161 i'm sorry all i hear is "blah blah i'm black, feel sorry for me. i had it so bad." and i'm sorry i don't feel the LEAST bit sad for you. and take a little history lesson. YOUR people sold your ancestors. THIS is a FACT. whether you are "sick" of it or not doesn't make my point any less visible to the other individual who decided to make a very ignorant comment about using your race as a 'handout" in the world. because i don't....

  • @xhormonix ...First off, if you're going to blather on on this site about your own deluded, twisted, racist version of reality and, direct quote from you, 'historical fact,' then I suggest you learn how to spell my Screename, ignoramus. All I've heard form you is 'blah blah I'm white, we aren't racist, we've never done anything wrong to blacks. We have it so bad.' Sorry, but I don't feel the least bit sorry for racist pricks like you. Whites were (And some still are) racist. This is a FACT.

  • @eedwardgrey2 I would like to apologize for spamming your video with non sense comments with that other user.. I found her and her racial idealogies hilarious... Thank you for the upload... "Daria" is great....

  • This series is a really good guide to subtleties in human relations.

  • i find it funny that jody can't stand the fact that daria told her the truth about herself and she couldn't stand it

  • Janes voice is fucked in these :/

  • NOOOOOO! WIkipedia- 'Daria: The Complete Animated Series is coded for Region One, and cannot be played outside the US and Canada.'

  • @BecZ100 Try googling if you can hack your dvd-player to become region-free (works with mine).

  • @eedwardgrey2 how did u do it?

  • @BecZ100

Get a Australian DVD player, no Region restrictions. The only things that have them here are computers.

  • @BecZ100 I watched the eps on rutube . com

  • @BecZ100 or watch it in your laptop...you can change the region.

  • Does anyone know the name of the song at 6:10?!

  • jane is a good friend. what daria did during the presentation, by not giving specifics about jody and the loan was right, but i dont think daria needed to apologize. this episode kinda disappointed me almost like you have to give up/hide your own views to make firends.but it is true for the real world.

  • As a yougn black woman I understand completely why Jodie did what she did... It's a pain dealing with ppl like that banker all the time.. what ever makes things easier... all they wanted was a damn loan.. "Other races"(well a certain one) don't have to constantly wonder if they were turned down because they "aren't the right color"

  • @babyapple930 i am white and i have travelled overseas, and in many places whites are treated as badly or worse than black people can be in america.

  • @adgato75 but who cares about in those countries? This is an American show with an American blk girl and I happen to be one and I said I understood why she did what she did... you saying "I traveled the globe, blah, blah, blah" doesn't change my opinion..

  • @babyapple930 i didnt think it would, because you obviously want to cry a river about how opressed you are, without caring about anyone elses situation.

  • @adgato75 When was I crying a river??? Cuz I said I understand where she is coming from??? Hell yes I understand and I will say it again!!! Yeah, you bringing up something that doesn't have anything to do with what I was saying, I am not going to care about!!! Like If I said I understand why the sky is blue and your in "lala land" talking about something completely opposite I am not going to care about. We are talking about ABC .. XYZ has no place here...

  • @babyapple930 what i said was pertinent. your comment about "other races" not understanding was what i was referring to. your comments were obviously black vs. white, yet now you say the white opinion isnt important? your statements were as prejudiced as anything in this episode.

  • @adgato75 what do you expect from a black person that says "i understand" towards feeling bad for themselves because THEY ARE BLACK. it's so sad that America has made anyone that's "BLACK, LATINO, ETC..." feel it's necessary to involve their ethnicity as a means of getting somewhere in their life. IE: COLLEGE GRANTS and such.

to me, it's pathetic. i'm hispanic/white and i worked hard for everything i had ever been given in my life.

  • @babyapple930 oh stop with the "i am black and oppressed" bs. it gets old. nobody wants to read/hear it. go cry a river. jodie annoyed me. this episode reminded me of, pretty much, the majority of the black population. there was nothing that showed he was discriminating her on the basis of her race color. she was young, so she is still a high risk for a loan. THAT IS THE REAL WORLD. but she was a hypocrite to go to the second bank and immediately say her dad's name.

  • @xhormonix Well for one.. Where was the "I'm oppressed in my comment?" Two: I see I wrote that 3 months ago and you REALLY had to go back a few pages to read it.. so if you don't want to read it.. you sure when out of your way... Even more you took time out of your day to comment back to it... so apparently you DO care? And if I want to say "I'm black and I understand where she is coming from" (which is what I said, read much?) Then I will say it all day if I want!! Too bad!

  • @babyapple930 and by the way, miss "i want to sound condescending with my commentary", my literacy level is way above your ancestry and brain capacity. so i wouldn't be talking about "reading" much. now would i? ;)

  • @babyapple930 1. your crap is on the first page. so no, it doesn't take much for me to scroll down and have to see yet another negro in the world wanting pity for being negro.

    2. you don't have to use the word "oppressed" to sit there and mean that through your "understanding" interpretation of how "aw poor you, you're colored" so it makes you more susceptible to using that as a part of reasoning for anything in your life. (ie: getting a loan or getting into college on the basis of it.)

  • @babyapple930 "then i will say it all day if i want"

because you're a nigger. niggers use their color as a way to manipulate the system of working hard for things. not ALL black people are niggers, just like not all white people are hicks/rednecks. but because you have to USE your race as a means of getting somewhere in life, it's nigger-status.

  • @xhormonix LOL... a white person calling a black person a "nigger" to try and insult them... thats SOOO original.... but somehow your "literacy level is way above" my "ancestry and brain capacity"... but you use the most hick word in the "Redneck Vocabulary"... LOL!! keep it coming... I need the comedy!

  • @babyapple930 go back to your history books and read a little about your ancestry before you come onto a website talking about how it must suck to be the "colored" you. you weren't enslaved, neither were your parents. and if you look into history, you shall find: your OWN people enslaved their own people. you're not going to get a pity party from anyone for "understanding" this episode that's MOCKING the very thing you say you "understand." :)

  • @xhormonix LOL!! Awww... she's so upset... lol... I'm just getting a kick out of you taking this CARTOON so serious... Is this your life?? LOL... Keep it coming sweety!! Awww... you want an e-hug? LOL!!

  • @babyapple930 i'm not upset? it's online. it's not like you can tell someone's emotions through a laptop/desktop computer. the episode is, in fact, mocking black people that use their race to get by though. i'm telling you something that should be the particular obvious, because of the kind of humor that has always been on this show - sarcastic, "read between the lines" comments/jokes.

  • @xhormonix ...Also, in regards to the episode, I love how you conveniently neglected the fact that the salesman, after listening to Jodie's (And, by extension, her father's) proposal and responses to his questions, asked DARIA if HER father could co-sign for the loan (You know, because ALL blacks have bad credit and no business experience to speak of). Honestly, what is it with you whites and your shitty attempts to persecute blacks for having to react to YOUR peoples' racism against them?

  • @Entropy161 and it does make it "null" about how blacks went through SO MUCH, because others have gone through a lot too. your skin tone doesn't make you special. get off your high horse. just because your ancestors had to battle for their rights doesn't mean you did and doesn't mean you need some kind of special treatment because of it, because ALL of us needed to battle for our rights and freedom down the line in history, too.

  • @xhormonix ...Excuse me, smartass, but show me where I said anything about MY skin tone making me special. I suggest after you get off your racial high horse you leave the sarcasm to people who actually know how to use it. As for what I've experienced, need I remind your dense ass that you know NOTHING about me, especially: 1) My 'race,' and 2) What I've experienced in my life.

Also, if you're trying to play the 'White Racism Cop-Out/Justification' game, I suggest you work on your strategy.

  • @Entropy161 and by the way, direct quote from you "what is with you, whites...." need i say more about the racist tone THERE? i don't need a pity party. i'm NOT like 95% of blacks. ;)

and i'm not "white" either. common misconception, but your racism is still a proven key to my point. so thanks for that!

  • @xhormonix ...Then you have the audacity to speak on 'racist tones?' LOL You hypocritical, delusional, Attention-Whoring, puerile, racist dullard. All you've done on this video is try to convince people that whites have never been racist, and/or have never done anything wrong to non-whites in the history of the world. Do you have any idea how laughably STUPID and RACIST you sound? Who writes your material?

As for your delusional racist comedy, I needed the laugh. Thanks for that!

  • @xhormonix ...You know, I get so sick of whites using their new 'old standby (That blacks sold their own people to whites)' as if that justifies and nullifies everything that they've (blacks) gone through since, and white guilt/involvement, respectively. Sorry, racist, but that bullshit doesn't work on me. I suggest YOU go back to YOUR history books and see that the number of blacks who sold their own into slavery was far less than whites. And while you're at it, throw yourself a 'pity party.'

  • @Entropy161 And I never said anything about NUMBERS in regards to the point i was making to the other person. did i? No. I SAID...stop trying to use your ethnicity/race as a handout and i made a point to say that BLACKS sold BLACKS into slavery. regardless of logistics or any kind of statistic, it was a historic fact. so i find it ironic and funny when i hear a black person complain about how those "damn white people" (cough RACIST much?) always picking on us. wah wah waaaahh. uh...no.

  • @xhormonix ...And yet ANOTHER White Racism Cop-out. So now your dense self is trying to say that whites have NEVER done ANYTHING wrong to any non-white in history? LMAO You're even more puerile, Attention-Whoring, and laughably stupid than I originally wrote you off as. Like I said before, ignoramus, that 'White Racism Cop-Out' bullshit doesn't fly with me. The racism and racist acts that whites have perpetuated on blacks is also 'historical record,' Something you obviously know nothing of.

  • @xhormonix ...Also, while you're pounding your keyboard in a fury responding to me telling you the TRUTH about yourself, don't forget to throw yourself that pity party, you poor, laughably stupid, repugnant racist you. You've earned it!

P.S. If Daria was a real person, she would never associate with dregs like you. Now where's your angry, racist, Attention-Whoring paragraph about that?

    LOL

    Loser.

  • @babyapple930 anyway, you've lost the discussion when you decided to go into the "awww poor sweetie" mocking attitude as a ways of getting to someone emotionally, when really it's not. but nice try though :) thanks for acknowledging all of what i have to say in the process.

  • @xhormonix LOL... thanks for letting me know I was trying to "win" something.. lol.. really? This is your life?? "Let me go on youtube to see if I can win an e-argument for self affirmation"... Seriously... thats so sad.. LOL... Yes... I'm going to give you another one of these: "aww.. do you want an e-hug?" Your life is going to be just fine.. lol... And I just saw that you reply to me multiple times.. but I only get 1 message in my inbox... so that EVEN MORE SAD... Aww.. she hates blacks

  • @babyapple930 never once did i say i hate blacks. where did i say that at? it's nice to see my replies are so sad, but yet, in contrary to mine - you still reply. so therefore, you affirm the hypocrisy in you saying so. pot calls the kettle black, nice. anyway goodnight! :)

  • @xhormonix yes Maam!! I reply... I find you hilarious.. the way you look and everything.. Ohh... and a word of advice... anyone who calls a minority a racial slur is not someone who is looked as a person who will sit around with ppl of different races singing "Kumbaya".... So yes... I'm sure others would agree on that one..

  • @babyapple930 yet i'm not white. try again though. the difference between you and i is i don't use ethnicity to get ahead in life and the fact YOU have to makes you ignorant, which is why i chose the very same word your own "race" uses in their rap songs. so while it is a terrible/"insulting" word, at the same time - it's sad that one's own race uses the word left and right. you'd never hear a white guy, "WHAT UP CRACKA?!" to his friend, now would you? no. but you are a young girl and i can tell

  • damn jodie annoyed the hell out of me this ep. she's not going to get very far if she intends to use her fathers reputation to get what she wants. yeah that guy was wrong for treating her the way he did but it doesn't make her any better for using her fathers name in the next bank

  • @clearwater04

no offense to those who like her but she seems like a big hypocrite here

  • LOL @ Jane's Brittany impression. She sounds a little like Quinn when she does that because the actresses who plays Jane also plays Quinn. =)

  • "Do you think I'm a rigid, unrealistic, unforgiving, self-righteous jerk who can't hold on to a friend?"

"She didn't say anything like that."

    "But... do you?"

  • I guess Kevin *was* an idiot, since he bought the car! At least Helen was able to reassure Daria that she wasn't a self-righteous jerk. This may have helped Daria and Jodie reconcile, and Daria & Jane as well.

    Belle Book

  • Daria looks so vulnerable @ 1:49 :/

and lmao, I swear I thought that was Tom walking in @ 5:10, since he almost always MAGICALLY appears when Jane's talking about him...never been so happy to see Brittany & Kevin

  • Bought*

  • Ummm I still think Daria should of stayed by her ideals, even if she got mad for a while, Jodie's intelligent, kind, and understandable. She probably would of forgiven her after a better explanation, and would of made her a better person because of it.

Ahahahah Kevin actually brought the car, gosh he really is the bigger idiot between the two.

  • @OneTwoThree12342 daria was wrong in that she had no idea how it felt to be judged solely on the basis of her race. it sucked, but jodie did what she had to do to complete the assignment, use her father's name. in the real world i'm sure she'd have to stick up for herself a lot more, but you can't fight every battle. its too exhausting and it wasn't daria's battle to fight.

  • Love the Bif Naked song at the end-been years since I heard it^^

  • whoa brittanys actually rly smart

  • she has her moments

  • she's not really smart.. she's an airhead. But she's not as stupid as she thinks she is.

  • prag·mat·ic (prg-mtk)

    adj.

    1. Dealing or concerned with facts or actual occurrences; practical.

Now I have a new word!

  • i really hate brittanys voice but its funny in the 3rd or 2nd season when she did the splits lol see jane run is the name

  • Can't believe Daria was the one to apologize. Guess she felt it was better to suck it up and keep a sort of friend than stick by her guns and lose one forever.

  • well she also apologized because jodie had a point. They were doing two different things. Jodie was trying to do the assignment and succeed at the goal. Daria found some corruption in the system and began tracking that.

Ultimately, the assignment was to get the bank to agree to a small business loan. Jodie had the best approach for achieving that. The world IS corrupt. Bitching about it just leaves you behind.

  • I don't know if this is just me... but I really don't mind Tom that much. I don't love the character, of course. Still, he was obviously created to put some tension between Jane and Daria and I think the fact they survived it all made them even closer friends at the end.

Haha sorry. Just had to say something in response to all the Tom-bashing that goes on in the last two seasons. lol.

  • LOL! Kevin crying!

  • I dig the Jodie/Daria episodes. Jodie's one of the few characters who can cut through Daria's critical outlook and hit home, she's also one of the few who is not either a total idiot or a constant cynic. Plus she's pretty fine; not so much in this episode, but check out some of her alter-egos.

  • Not diggin the third season.

  • Damn, That car salesman was a total pedo.

  • No kidding, huh?

  • jane is too good of a friend

  • What is the ending song during credits?

  • @Misspinkeye Any Day Now by Bif Naked. There's a song list on the video description.

  • Jane's imitation of Brittany sounds strangely like Quinn... hmm... wonder why... ;) lol.

  • So your comment made me curious, and I'm apologizing in advance if I'm behind on any Daria trivia or whatever. Jane, Quinn and Helen are voiced by the same person! Holy shit my mind is blown.

  • I know, isn't that crazy? I was so surprised, too! Wendy Hoopes is an amazing voice actor.

  • @whatsername21287 Jane, Quinn, and Helen are voiced by the same people. Maybe that's why.

  • @whatshername21287 @TheGreatDarkOne I thought whatshername was being tongue-in-cheek when they made that comment?

That said, Jane really is awesome.

  • @whatsername21287 Jane n Quinn they the same voice actor

  • @whatsername21287 same voice actor

  • @whatsername21287 Cos Jane's voice and Quinn's voice are from Wendy Hoopes :)

  • Lol @ Brittany's eyes @ 0:30

  • lol that was funny when trent was wearing daria's clothes in the ending songs lol

  • lol ............ ur right that was hilarious and the part where Trent was dressed as Pee Wee Herman was .......lol....um........a little disturbing........lol

  • Closing theme is awesome.

  • trent as daria, quite creepy

  • i love jane
