If you haven't seen 'Heavenly Creatures' yet I highly recommend it. She gives a flawless emotionally charged performance, and at the time she was only 17! She is pure talent :D

I watched The Holiday 3 times in a row, just within 2 days. Having watched this interview, suddenly I realize that how great Kate is, how fantastic this woman has become...I still remember the Titanic fashion that ever popped 10 years ago.

So real & such a wonderful human being. There are only a handful of really grounded (as well as incredibly talented) women in the Entertainment industry being great role models today, and she is certainly one of them. She makes a good hero! The list is a short one: A Kate, another Cate, a Judi, a Meryl, and a select few others, a very short list for sure.

It's so sad that she smokes. You can tell a lot of her voice change has been from the smoking. Poor thing. I love Kate to death.

I watched The Holiday 3 times in a row, just within 2 days. Having watched this interview, suddenly I realize that how great Kate is, how fantastic this woman has become...I still remember the Titanic fashion that ever popped 10 years ago.

Well, she was 19 in Titanic and here she's 31, married, with kids. She grew up!! Very nicely I might add. I love when she teared up over what Sam said about her performance!

Because she put her heart and soul into her performance in Little Children, and you feel very raw and vulnerable in that kind of role. Then her hubby went to see it and loved her performance, so much so that he cried! He is a bigtime director, besides being her hubby, and she cares very deeply what he thinks about what she does on screen and stage. So, remembering his reaction, made her cry. Make sense now?

Winslet is an astounding actress, men who diss her acting performances are just jumping onto the anti-titanic bandwagon, they should check out some of her less famous roles in movies such as Jude, heavenly creatures, Iris and Eternal sunshine. She is not just a two dimentional character.

I watch movies I am a writer too and I've seen her in many roles. She always plays roles in the same passive aggressive way she always plays in a post feminist way she has given many interviews endlessly bemoaning allegedly sexist men. she has victim netality and she is beautiful and middle class. So why the chip on shoulders?

she has respect for herself and more dignity than most other actresses in hollywood put together. the fact that you (i assume) men below find it threatening says more about your ignorance than it does her. Stop being ignorant and listen to what a good role model for young girls has to say. and if you still have a problem then you need to grow some balls and start becoming more secure as a man, cos you're quite clearly not!
