Religion and the Church did have alot to do with it, and yes it is the cause of lots of fighting. Organized religion to me is what turns people off from trusting and having a personal relationship with God our father through Jesus. God loves all even the sinner! He loves you! If you look at it realistically,all through human history when religious nuts get on their band wagons things go to hell in a hand basket,1st there was gallileo who was persecuted by religion because the church didnt want their cash cow to dry up,then darwin who showed creation to be a mind control device to regulate thinking and again keep people from seeing the truth,prohibition followed,then the 1972 massacre at the olypics and 911.1 day religion will destroy the world all together.

Make it illegal and the criminals dominate the market causing even more destruction than would have occured had it been easy to get. You cant stop people from getting what they want. They are either going to buy it legally or they are going to buy it from the man on the street with a gun in his waist.
