'Tajik' is a term that Turks used for Iranian people of Central Asia. The present Tajiks are descents of East Iranian people (Bactrians, Sogdians), as well the Western Iranians who migrated to those lands during the Islamic conquest of Persia.

Ok, Leila is an experienced singer. She's been singing for almost 30 yrs now. Obviously, she's very good at singing and we all love her deeply. But then Manija is really young and she's just started her career so it wouldn't be fair to judge her by this duet. I'm sure she'll be a success. I'm Iranian myself, but I love Tajik ppl deeply and I know they have a very good chance of expanding their skills. After all they're Persians too.

Amin, you are right in a sense that Pashtoon are also from same lineage as tajik. It is a fact that Pashtoon is a branch of Pahlavi (Mid Persian) but in todays politics, Pashtoons have been trying to dominate their Tajik brothers and destroy them. They were lost trib to accept islam and now they are ignoring all their cultural heritage. This is a problem that need to be answer before we have our big happy cultural family back.

Ok, Leila is an experienced singer. She's been singing for almost 30 yrs now. Obviously, she's very good at singing and we all love her deeply. But then Manija is really young and she's just started her career so it wouldn't be fair to judge her by this duet. I'm sure she'll be a success. I'm Iranian myself, but I love Tajik ppl deeply and I know they have a very good chance of expanding their skills. After all they're Persians too.

no, Tajiks are different race!!!!!!! Tajiks must go to Tajikistan!!!! Uzbeks, Turkish, Turkmenians, Kazakhs, Kirgiz, Azerbajanians, are from Turkic race which origin is Uzbekistan!!!

Amin, you are right in a sense that Pashtoon are also from same lineage as tajik. It is a fact that Pashtoon is a branch of Pahlavi (Mid Persian) but in todays politics, Pashtoons have been trying to dominate their Tajik brothers and destroy them. They were lost trib to accept islam and now they are ignoring all their cultural heritage. This is a problem that need to be answer before we have our big happy cultural family back.

Leila Forouhar is an Iranian singer - she was REALLY famous in Afghanistan before the revolution. She left Iran when the revolution happened and now sings in LA. This concert is from Nowruz of last year. Zenda bad Leila jan.
