INSTEAD of being executed, he spent over a decade as a guest at a taxpayer supported penal institution, eating 3 squares a day (which at the very least should have been strictly vegetarian) and receiving free (to him) medical care. Ottis Toole had a very unfortunate childhood. Born sickly and mentally disabled to a very dysfunctional family and without a center figure to whom look-up-to. Society neglected him so badly the fruit , turned out to be sour and rotten in return. Ottis also came with his fair share of talents, cute, and handsome red-haired child, with a tall, strong body, and a singing voice. Regardless, all of that got ruined as Ottis got lost!!!
