@ridely700 It's not that they don't have the guts to, it's just that theres a thousand different ways it could go wrong and completley destroy the ship. It's better to just leave it intact at the bottom than to destroy it in the process of bringing it to the top. Also, there really isn't any economic incentive to do it.
