Some people really don't understand what is "fun" about these videos. I think it's cool to see other people's set ups played in real time regardless of the uploaded sound. You still get a sense of the environment and can connect in a way that you can't with the album version and an uploaded picture of the gear. Cool vid, I miss my NAD 314 integrated.
Then don't watch this video douche bag. Of course this video will not show the quality of the system... no shit captain obvious. If that's what you are looking for, might I suggest an audio store, instead of you tube, ya fuckin retard.
you know that recording that audio in mono through your shitty digicam, then playing it back on completely different equipment on our computers, is gonna tell us fuck all about your audio quality, right?

@KMVclassic so, you're actually admitting that this video is pointless and serves no purpose. Why did you upload it?
I mean, you could've just taken the actual fucking SONG, added a PICTURE of your stupid amp and speakers, and uploaded that, and it would've been BETTER, because then at least the song would be in high quality. This video is worse than useless.
@aseglkj Wow..... so I need your permission before I post anything I want on my youtube account? What are you, my wife? How about you go do your bitching on someone else and leave us youtubers alone. Or atleast stay off youtube during your PMS period. Holy Moly. I mean of course I'm gonna post what I want. If you don't like it, feel free to leave a comment. I'm glad you think this video is worse than useless. But don't tell me what to post and what not to post. Sheesh!
I've got one and yes---the sound is warm rich smooth and subtly detailed. Microdynamics and intonation are strong points plus the 3020 sounds much louder than 20 watts due to generous current reserves and higher than usual burst power. My only criticism is the bass--it's weighty but somewhat leaden lacking the impact and slam of powerful (and more expensive) amps.
All told among the best "bang for the buck" amps ever made.
Been using a Nad 3020 series 1 amp for 10 yrs + now, its hooked up to a Kenwood ge 800 equaliser & Sony cd recorder. Speakers are 2 Wharfdale glendale xp2 ( 40 watts max ) + 2 Samsung air suspension bookshelf ( 35 watts max ). I run full bass & treble on the Nad & the eq is set for power. Sound Quality is stunning, rich full punchy deep bass & superb mids & highs all day long no problem at all. No one believes that its a 20 watt amp at the heart !. Nad 3020 amps are near legendary & rightly so.
Ive got 2 of these amps one is in prestine condition with original packaging, awesome amps..20 watts?? real modest..sounds much bigger but well balanced..excellent imagergy.. works really well with my Marantz 63SE CD player.
@d4ni3l1311 , Listening to 20 watts continuous on big speakers at home is way more than loud. What's the efficiency of your disco speakers (i.e. db/w/m)? The Atoms in my room are only 90 db/w/m. Not sure if you can see the LED flashing on the amp in this video (top right). It's the 1 Watt monitoring LED, so every time it flashes the output peaks exceed 1 watt. The LED next to it is 5 watts, and I never cross that, it gets way to loud. But again, that's just for my 10" by 11" room.
@KMVclassic the led flash but i normally have it half way on the amp and all the way on the mixer and laptop and it dont over load but it over loads on phono not aux :P and i dont no any details on the speakers apart from the watt
I bought an NAD 3020 used about 10 years ago for about $100. I just bought a pair of B&W 685 speakers for them and was extremely happy that I held onto the amp. I might get it cleaned up and install some new capacitors.
The tubey texture of this ss amp is its highlight. However, unlike typical tube amps, the 3020 is extremely durable! You get the best of both worlds (ss and tube).
I use a Nad 3020 driving original Advents. This unassuming little thing sounds less like a typical solid state amp and more like a good tube amp. It's sonics are warm and refined yet lively. It lacks only the tight bass slam of the more muscular amps. If you can find a good sample used, it's one of the best hifi bargains you'll ever find.
The source is a DVD player from Pioneer. First I had the system above hooked up to Model DV-400V. Sounded ok. Then I hooked it up with an older model from Pioneer, whic I had sitting in storage and have been trying to sell - Model DV-563A. It sounded very different, more Music oriented - heavy and mellow. The later is what I used in the Video. Unfortunately, with my cheap camera, and on youtube, it does sound kind of lean/thin in this video - its anything but.
nice little setup. Whats the source? cd player etc. I still have this NAD 3020 one of the very first of them to be exact, my father had it on back order many years ago when it was going through prototype stage. It still sounds great. Its best with what you've done though, putting it through nice monitor speakers to achieve the best results

@sweetsweatyfeet then the Paradigm speakers might be a synergetic choice. My Titans can make energetic bass come from just about any receiver.
