Very beautiful track, I love Arvo Pärt. Can I make the observation though that after reading about your Sony Betacam SP with its 2/3 inch Broadcast Lens, and the fact that this clip was almost completely shot with a Glidecam V 25, I was bitterly disappointed at the pathetic 240p resolution you uploaded. Surely with broadcast quality equipment like you had access to, 360p and 480p options would be a given? YouTube introduce endless artifacts in their video processing, even their 480p is not SD.
The opening notes to this always hit me right in the kooters and instantly bring tears for the appreciation of beauty that this man allows us all to enjoy.
The Stillness of Nature distilled into a piano and violin in a way few others could ever manage.
Yes, the birds and sound beyond the music are distracting to what might otherwise be a great video. Either have the birds alone without the music or the music alone without the bird. Peace.
I feel that the background sound effects are distracting; at the very least, the volume level of the effects is too high. Otherwise, a very nice video!
The bird noises only add to it IMHO... And as someone who has spent a lotta time kicking it in the woods relaxing, I can say this music and these sounds perfectly blend together... In fact this is better and cheaper then most drugs.
Beautiful scenery set to beautiful music. Wonderful video. Where did you find such a lush place to film this? This sure is a far cry from the desert landscape of my home town. :)
We shot it in Leipzig/Germany in a forest where the Bährlauch a.k.a. Bährallium blooms only some weeks in per year. These are these white flovers. They taste a little like garlic and is a delicacy around here. And yes :) is has nothing to do with a desert.

35mm lens? The depth is really shallow, in a good way.

oh, it's absolutely beautiful, especially since this is one of my new favorite songs.
one thing, though: it would be better if the volume of the chirps was lowered a bit and if the effect wasn't used as much.

Some nice camera work there guys. Nice focus pulling, movement and wide angle shots. A bit dark at times maybe.
Got to say though the ambient sound, which even seems to be looping, kind of ruins it. Too intrusive and - sorry - cheap.
This video would really deserve another upload, featuring just the footage and music.
