@HapiiGiirL I think Dr. Suess had a deeper meaning about how the government i.e. SAM I am, Uncle Sam, is trying to force feed us things while offering us bribes like boats and cars. After we try it the first time it may seem okay, but after a lifetime of eating Ham and Eggs, colored green the color of greed and things that are rotten, we develop hypertension and die of a heart attack.

In reality, Seuss worried more about how few words he could use, 50 in this case. after being asked too write a book that children couldn't put down.

This reminds me of the CD-ROM version of this. It was one of those read-along books that highlighted the words as the narrator read. There was the option of playing around on the page after the Narrator read and there was the option to just read through the whole thing. You could even play little games on it as the story went along. There was even a color-matching game with all different kings of food.
