Well a cage might not be the out side world but most reptiles are bred in captivity. They have never sen the out side world. There "normal" world is behind glass. And when it comes to feeding they need to eat what they would eat in the wild. They would eat insects, other frogs, and rodents. They don't eat greens or fruits.
