I bought my E-Key Aspire 4710 from the pawn shop here, for $110 odd bucks! It had and has issues still, but I am on it preseently using a new Vista Ulti install. Doesn't have the E-key apps loaded to work, but I added BT USB adapter and that works. Centrino Intel T2450 on mine, Aero desktop appears to work fine with that early dual core, the mobo can support add on graphics for some model varaiations, not mine however. It's an overseas laptop there's no record of the serial with Acer.USA

i hace acer aspire 4710..with intel centrino duo ,3gb ddr,160gb hdd,and windows 7 ultimate..no problem since i installed windows 7..

acer makes it easy..

@mostwanted625 Me, as well, what Centrino Duo? Have you looked at the motherboard? There's a large space next to the HDD socket for the graphics card if you can add one in, there's a port along the side for it

@mostwanted625 I believe the T2500 or T2400 series for the 4710 is 533Mhz bus or whatever that comes at stock, I'm not entirely sure but the better model 4730 uses higher bus speed, might work with Core2duo in the right socket. I saw one in the pawn shop this weekend for $350, the most spendy used laptop they had at the store

@mostwanted625 Looked up one reference for the 945Intel chip set, it shows the T7xxx series Core2, however, I think the T2450 I have falls into a lower range, and only a slight step up to 667Mhz FSB
