I've been looking for a ATV snow blower. But this video is ridiculous. I want to see a foot or more of snow being blown then i'll know if it is any good. I use a Moose Plow on my ATV now and could do that whole driveway with a foot of snow in less than 2 minutes. But what i want is one when the snow gets piled up from 4 or more snow storms like we have had in the last 3 weeks. I can;t believe bercomac would put a video out like this.
is the guy running the thing OK? strange acting dude. Great blower but stupid price, throw a plow on and move snow much faster...although most of the ATV plows are really flimsy...not to mention how weak the frames are on ATV's vs a good solid garden tractor like a WheelHorse or a Case...but whatever makes you happy...also, that mounting system is a joke...whats with the little lawnmower plastic wheels...what would happen to the mounting system if you caught a tree stump with an outside edge?
@dkupris7 "Taking to long" isn't the question. Depth to weight ratio of the pushing vehicle is. I use a tandem truck with a 12' plow. It even has a pushing limit in deep snow. Once you've pushed 10-15" of snow as far as you can where do you push the next big snow to? Just a thought.
This is ridiculous! I can plow snow faster than that blower can. You show a desperate few inches of snow being blown? This is completely CRAZY!! Show us a couple of feet deep snow being blown!
Just wondering how you made out with it over the winter? I am looking at buying the exact same one for this winter, but am having trouble deciding on a new or used one. I looked at a used one (like new) which started my interest, but a new one with the power shutes is only $800 more. Wondering your recommendations on weather to buy the used one with manual crank, or get a brand new one with power shutes - that looks like they may have problems freezing up. Thanks
ha got one of the biggest baddest quads made and drives it less than 1 mph got to do alot of good to the belt. dont get me wrong very nice set up just think you would be better off letting that can am loose on the trail and getting a smaller quad for the snowblower that is not belt drive. but up to you your equipment. enjoy !
its REALLY not good to engage the pto while running at full throttle, dude. thats like dumping the clutch at 5000 rpms in a car. Thought everyone knew that
nice unit; too bad it cost more than a good used truck with a snowplow
@turfguy87 Actually, most electric pto's work best at full or close to full throttle because it insures that the belt will not fly off the pulleys. It depends on belt configuration and the length of the belt. That belt didn't squeal or chirp so it hooked up nicely. You're right about dumping the clutch, very similar to that.
@turfguy87 no, because the amount of load the 20 horse engine it turning is nothing like that of a car. its designed to work that way. if you dont understand it, be quiet about it.
@jmanwild it was an example, dipshit. Not an exact comparison.
I am a commercial mowing & landscaping business owner for the last 17 years. I know all about the do's & don'ts of power equipment & electric PTO's, moron.
popping the pto at high rpms severely shortens its life. Ask any dealer
Thats cool we all have one

Did it break in the end? or why did you stop?
soulis1000 1 year ago
@soulis1000
I agree, it's a bit weird to just Stop & Stare.
If I was taping it, I'd be right up close to see the impeller working the snow in action.
Every flick of these blowers, the Impeller is way too small for the size of auger.
That small, then they should have dual counter rotating impellers.
It can't rid of what it gathers. They don't quite get it yet.

@Jacknyd / Good Eye...
Right, at some point, You have to get rid of the bulk.
So either like we have to, haul it out with cats, or blow it back frozen ice pack.
This blower is not ready for prime time commercial duty. See my other post.

There is no weight at all on the Quad. The Unit is suported by its own pneumatic
castor wheels. I recomend to use a remote throttle for the engine. Also a non belt
driven Quad wold be your best choise.

Great for commercial sidewalk clearing in over 6-8 inches of snow. plows wont cut it.
treeguylee 2 years ago
u waste gas by having 2 motors so u should go with a plow or just a snowblower w/o a atv much easier and cheaper
vettet1 2 years ago
a plow on the atv would be so much easier and faster that takes to long
