Yes Brian this song is from Jeff Newman's workshop's...I have all of his woodshed workshop songs, but have been without a pedal Steel for the last almost 2 years, but have a D-10 ZumSteel that I am to receive real soon and will start back where I left off, and continue posting more of Jeff's song's...Thanks for watching.....Brian
I Love it.. Had my own band for over 30 years and without a good steel man it wasn't complete..I hooked up with Bud Isaacs in Tucson back in the early 60's and had the pleasure of working with him in Battle Mountain Nv. which was one of the highlights of my life thanks to another great steel playin buddy of mine Leo Olgaltree who introduced me to Bud...You sound great my friend and take me back to those wonderful days for sure!!!! ...Gonna listen to some more...
whoever played bass on this sounds so much like Jesse Chambers who played on this track on the live in london album. and the thing about Jesse is that he wasn't real fancy...he was just really really good at keeping time with the drummer and keeping it tasteful and simple. so that being said...whoever the bass player is did a great job playing on this.
Brian; You are sounding good on this number; remember what Dave said about using the effects gadget; you are too good a player to be drowned out by too much of an out-side effect. I really like your playing; keep them coming..and " Keep On Pickin"..Bernie
Thank you all for the Kind Words regarding my Pedal Steel Playing...I am going to start working on some new Songs toward the Weekend and will Post them when finished...Take care and "Keep on Pickin" Brian
Sorry I have not responded to you all, Thank you all for the compliments on my pickin'...Brian
