I ordered one last week. Getting real anxious for it to get here. Fun Fun. Still working with the Blade MCPX and loving it. On a sad note I crashed my Big Lama into a tree. Bummer. Broke the tail boom off. Thanks for the video. (Tom)
@Blueberry954 yes, and? damage on this plane was always minimal and never any major damage was done unless the pilot had a fast nose in crash or flew into a tree or something. I know it looks fragile, I was worried of that as well, but if you can fly, this plane is awesome, and I would definetely recommend it over the 4-site in terms of flight performance and fun.
My friend and I just each bought one last night. Mine isn't even out of the box yet but my friend took his out this morning and it is F'd! Couple of flaws when put together. He phoned manufacturer and they are paying to ship it back as well as his new beast, mini beast came with warped fuselage. He was a little pissed this morning, as long as he gets replacements soon things will be alright, might hurt watching mine at indoor this Sunday. Lol
@bakonlicious horizonhobby website or your local hobby shop. Go to your local hobby shop and put one on 'hold'. ask them to give you a call when it comes in. hobby shops usually get them first.
THEY MUST BE ON CRACK IF THEY THINK IM GETTING ANOTHER FORSITE THAT THIS WILL BREAK WHEN IT HITS THE FLOOR 2 TIMES. srry about the caps i wanted to make my point.
@wolfxx66 Ok... Not to be rude... but... The 4-site, and this plane, are very capable, and very well made planes. It is not the fault of the company if the pilot is not experienced enough to fly them and they break them. These planes are for intermediate to advanced flyers. They are not beginner planes. 3D planes are for people who are fully comfortable with 4ch planes - meaning, you can do normal & inverted flight, rolls, loops, snap rolls, knife edges, etc, without even thinking.
@earthling1984 i see your point i got my for site when i was 11 now im 13 and a lot better pilot bu3t like you have to agree that if the plane starts having problems your gona break it.
@wolfxx66 if the plane starts having problems? Always do a pre-flight check to make sure servos are working correctly. If motor burns out, you can still land the plane with no motor. The brushed motors last a long time, but do burn out eventually and need replacement.
@joehandsome99 yea i think there great and stuff ,but i think there a little over priced, its understandable the ingenuity and engineering that goes into these. But isn't US of A in a recession? lol
I can get many Planes as well that are (what you would think Bigger/more Money)
for instance im getting the RadianPro PNP for around$180 and that is huge.
I think these UM's should be no more then $129.00BNF and say 99.99 for PNPs
This uses the same electronics as the 4-Site but it is much lighter and stronger with its single wing and depron/film construction (). If they sold replacement airframes I would put all of my components from the 4-Site into this thing. It is amazing!
@earthling1984 i believe it is a brushless motor if i am not mistaken. Any way, how about the umx beast? should we be expecting a review on that one when it comes out?
Did you get to talk to them and get their autographs? I'm gonna have to get one for indoor flying when they come out, I'm guessing you are too, lol, I could hear you drooling lol ;-)

so--- this vs 4 site for experienced pilots?
Kpilot786457 4 months ago
@Kpilot786457 I would go with the UMX 300. I enjoy it a bit more than the 4-site myself, it seems more capable to me.

oh yeah i can fly just as well as these guys, ill consider it

ive seen this thing, it looks like if you crashed it it couldnt be repaired. i think ill go with a 4site
Blueberry954 4 months ago
@Blueberry954 in my experience it is just as durable as the 4site.

@wolfxx66 dude, your not supposed to hit the floor even once. Do you think pilots go to Boeing and say
"Your plane sucks because I crashed it and now its broken!!!"
of course not!! if you want planes that can crash, go get yourself some airhogs. they are indestructable

i want one !

...
Very cool.
I am on the fence about this one.
It's selling for $160.00
The Micro Beast is selling for $170.00
I can buy some very nice planes that are way bigger for that price.
Will have to wait and see.

@Slayer10000000000 The new Extra in this video is run on a brushed motor and single cell lipo. The UMX Beast runs on a 2s lipo and brushless.
