Hey, whoever put down Ryan because of drug addictions or whatever...how many musicians can you say have stopped doing drugs, stopped drinking and even stopped smoking. I admire him for having the strength to take control of his life.
I really like Easy Tiger. Heartbreaker has always had a special place in my heart (ironically) but Easy Tiger gets under the skin and gets better with each listen. This guy has talent, no doubt about it.
I can't believe that you just watched that interview and still think that he is an asshole... besides that I personally think that you should be very careful about calling people assholes because of drug addictions... anyway, there wouldn't be a lot of people in the rock 'n roll history who aren't assholes in that case...
valiant effort my friend. unfortunately the human condition still allows for complete morons to survive the tide, so we will have to deal with knuckleheads like this fellow for the rest of our lives.

i didnt realise what a cokehead asshole he was...i fuckin love his music, it gets me through everyday, but i feel robbed coz at the end of the day he's just another twat that fames gotten hold of...easy, tiger
Since 200, this guy has released well over a hundred songs; he has written in several genres and his songs are all well crafted. The guy is an amazing singer/songwriter.
just to clarify panicinamerica- ryan have never been at a 3-4 album per year pace, except in 2003 when he announced he would release Cold Roses, Jacksonville City Nights, and 29. Adams does however, have an incredibly prolific output. He has massive amounts of unreleased material and unrecorded material.
Yeah, starting to come round to 'em myself! Just a shame because the harmonies are so good I want to hear them better - same goes for 'tears of gold' which sounded so amazing at the small acoustic show (borderline) I went to but lacks the same emotional punch on the record. Don't get me wrong by the way - I think Ryan is brilliant, that's why I care so much about how the record sounds!
I wish it sounded this good on the record, the drummer ruined it by whacking cymbals and playing far too fast - oh well, Ryan is brilliant though. Neal Casal is a fantastic singer too.
3 songs per album? I would like to remind that no-one "write" for him and that he has written nine albums as a solo act of which two are double albums. besides that it's not quantity mate. In his first few years after he left Whiskeytown he released about 3-4 albums per year (Gold, Love is Hell, Demolition, Rock'n'roll) and there is not one that isn't genius.
Could you remind us what qualifies you to criticise? What exactly have you done with your life worth remembering?
His writing is quite lacking at times, but otherwise I think hes got a knack for complex melodies and arrangement. Just revise those lyrics, they come off as pretentious.
