You kill a certain ammount of them then talk to some1 and you recieve the hat

you know the quest chompy bird hunting, that guy has the hats and every time u kill a bird the arrow u use has 1 kill on it, so say u kill 30 u can go to the guy for the first hat, but if you have a differenct bow it changes the killcount. for example you could have one bow with 100 kills to it but another with only 10 so make sure you always kill the birds with same bow. to get hat just speak to the guy and providing you have enough kills he gives you hat.

here is some more hints.

if you want more bellows just go to the chest in rantz cave and drop it close to the chest. then search the chest and you ill get a new bellow. if you want more just drop that 1 to and search it again.

another hint is to just drop the toad once they appear in your inventory. continue inflating toads with your bellows and you will soon have a nice amount of chompy birds walking around you
