@JackGurevitz No. You'd have to do some research and check whether other webcams do work. I would imagine they wouldn't since they require certain drivers for them to work, which the PS3 doesn't have.

@icarrynocash00 Hell no. There's never been cross game chat for the PS3 and at this rate it looks like there never will be. This is for in game mic use. However, as I've said to other people, a headset mic as opposed to this makeshift solution is much better as this generates quite a bit of echo. Only use this if you really can't afford a bluetooth mic, like I couldn't.

@erwinio007 Not really. It's one of the disadvantages of this makeshift solution. I recommend only using this until you can afford to get your own mic.

@MsAsh3z Probably the headset, easier to use, don't have to worry about it's position because it's always on your ear, and it doesn't have the echo problem the eye has. But the PS Eye can be used on your computer as a webcam as well, so long as you have the right drivers.

@NaMSRi19 Erm just quite near you should be fine. Too far away and more background noise than anything else will overshadow your voice. Remember this is an alternative if you don't like, or can't get a headset of some sort.

you forgot to hit triangle and go to settings in that menu, there is an option for the mic to cancel out the speakers so you dont get the echo

when u use the mic on the ps eye and using ur tv speakers...wont the mic pick up the noise coming from the speakers....for example a game like killzone 3 is loud as shit...would the mic pick it up..casue that would be annoying to the lobby

@sa3adily Depends how loud it is, that is the downside to this solution. Anyone with a quite loud speaker system would experience echo problems, and yeah. Sawry, but this is only if you can't buy a mic.

@TheGreek2009 yes that is a little problem with this, it creates an echo sometimes depending how loud your tv is. I don't think it should be a problem unless your friends complain. But remember this is only for people who are not willing to get a bluetooth headset, you should get that if you can :)

@TheGreek2009 Good :) There are some stereo headsets made by turtle beach that have a microphone included. It's called the Turtle Beach PX21 and it's only £30. That is an option, and would be less irritating than a bluetooth headset. Good luck.

@bramtheman100 It should work on any game, as the PS3 should recognise it as a microphone. When you go into audio decice settings is the PS EYE the Input? The output should be the default system device or whatever it's called.
