Hi I just got my luxy hair extensions today, dark brown #2 160g. And I was wondering how long after you got yours it takes to hold a curl? mine won't curl whatsoever.
@sarahsbertke this was like the second time wearing them and curling them after I received my luxies...which would be kind of strange that yours don't want to hold a curl. I don't even have to put hairspray as it will hold a curl all on its own.
I just recently ordered my set of luxy hair, and was wondering how long did your set last being silky and healthy? Were they a good investment. Hope you get back to me :)
@ShayMahan they are because it doesn't show the undertones as well as if you were looking at them with the naked eye. The undertones in the light can change the color of the hair completely.
@LizzieLiz16 I don't recall which one it is exactly...I do remember that is the most inexpensive brand there and its a green box. Hope that helps a little at least.

I was going to lighten my hair to match the extensions, but seeing your video, I will now dye the extensions. My only question is, how did you dye them. Did you put them on your hair and then dye all of your hair or did you dye the wefts separately? I am now very excited and can't wait to dye them to match my natural hair color. xoxo
@rosettagreco HI there....its a really easy task and the easiest way of dying the hair is to do each one individually. At the end make sure that you rinse them well and then you put some conditioner and leave them for 5 minutes then rinse and you're done. :)
@caricollazo Thanks so much for replying. I dyed them on the weekend and it worked. I also put conditioner in them, however they are not the same as when they came to me. Is this normal? They are not as smooth and silky. I am getting the Conair curler soon and will try to style them like you did. Hopefully they will get silkier. Thanks again. :)
@rosettagreco yes its normal. Your natural hair tends to do the same thing when you dye it. After they dry they do appear opaque but mines eventually got their shine back and still feel smooth just brush them and store them in a good place. You can always add a drop of shine oil.

@VIVIAronna1 No, it is only considered "open" if you take them out. You'll be able to determine just by looking at the hair inside the package if it actually your match.
@horserider1524 i use a couple different products but the one i use most often is one by The Natural Source "hi-shine straightening balm." I got it at TJ Maxx but its an Australian Product. That one you use it right after you wash your hair when its still damp. Then to protect it from the heat I use Tremesse Heat Tamer Spray. Hopes that answer it.
since it has been a little while what can you say about the luxy hair extensions now.? i wanted to do research before i might get them and also if there is any other hair extension company that you think is best if you have tried any others.? thanksss :)
@ruthiebear733 This are my very first extensions so for that matter I would only be able to give you my opinion on the Luxy Extensions. I love them....they are still shiny and soft. Its alot of hair and the clips do not slip at all. They have a great grip. They are true worth the price and I would def be repurchasing again.
@MrsNoHate i know it might have been confusing....my hair color when i ordered it did match my hair but only from the ends...so when i try matching my roots to the rest of my hair i ended up dying a color that was darker and did not match my ends or the extensions. So my only option was to dye the extension to the color i dyed my hair (the dark brown color).

@Missymandaful I wont be able to help here as Luxy is my first extensions ever. But if it helps I can say that its a lot of hair and they are fabulous.
@Missymandaful ive had foxy locks and i jsut ordered some of luxys and i can easily say that luxy are better because with foxy locks they fall out and alot of my clips have broken and its only not even been a year i have them
I have the same kind of hair fallout when I brush my Luxy extensions! I'm very very careful with handling them now.
I dyed mine also because the dark brown was too light for my hair, but they don't look as shiny or feel as soft now. Did you notice the same with yours?
@tinybunnies my hair does not have the same shine that it had when it came in...and i think the reason was that because the color it originally came in had alot of highlights in it it made it appear that way. But still after I dyed it, it kept some of its shine and my own hair seems opaque. I spray a shine mist on my hair to give it the same result.
