@supaman7112 i do tab a number of songs that are available though my blog @ $2 each. jazzukes.blogspot.com. i did not tab this one as it is just simple inversions of the chords, also someone else beat me to it and i don't step on toes.
Man, this is damn fantastic! How do you do it? I looked at your linked to the chords but I can't seem to put them together like you do... did you do it just as they are written? Surely you have fancied that up a bit! How???? Please teach me!
@billehead i can teach you by skype please see my website jazzukes (dot) com for details. the music is basically out of the book. i do not have the tabs for this.
Mark, I have been learning this one - how did you handle the E to C#m7 chord change? DId I miss something or are they comprised of the same notes? I tried to pick it out on your video but your Jumping Fleas were too fast!
E and C#m7 are only a note a part. You should also note that C#m7 is a E6, so there is a very strong similarity. I play the E 4447 the root E is on the 3rd and 1st strings, and the C#m7 is 4444 (E note is retained on the 3rd string). I pull the E off some times to give it extra snap. too much information? Keep playing.
well I just tried to play that song on guitar and was looking for the chords.. then i saw playing you this nice and legère song, and i was so fascinated of that easy way you played the ukulele.. thanx for that two minutes of feeling just fine.. btw.u choosed a nice location for playing it.. :)
I love this song! I was looking specifically for this song played on a ukulele and you're the only one... and I'm glad you did a wonderful job! Thanks for the cords too!
Bien fait! (Quand meme les paroles poetiques de Trenet me manque un peu.) You really knock out those cords! I'm feeling like I need to hoof over to the music store and get myself a Uke. I'll be looking for demonstrations if I do.
Have learned more about playing uke from your little music videos and instructionals than in all the books and dvds I've purchased combined. My playing has much improved as a result of stealing your cool little jazzy chord voicings. many thanks!
the theguitarguy is where i get most of my songs. initially i play the in one position. i always play the songs in the key that is written. then i will play them at two other positions on the neck. this gets me accoustom to the song and helps me understant the voicings. i do this for a week. then i arrange the song to my liking.
you will notice that i change chords on just about every strum by moving one or two fingers. these transition chords usually are augmented or diminished chords of the named chord. these transitions move to the next chord. after a while these transitions become familiar, and your hand automatically does them. I notice I never do the song the same way twice. this was obvious in the three (five) takes that i did for this song.
I'm a huge fan! I've been watching your vids for a couple of weeks now. Love them. Been playing myself for 6 months (new post-40 hobby). Can strum out a few tunes, but you are my idol!
i would probably pay for these tabs. you should tab it out and other similars and sell it! or give it to us :)

Is that a Tenor Ukulele?
RickyA1990 4 years ago
no that is a DaSilva SM-1 Soprano nearly the same dimensions of the Martin Soprano of days gone by. It just looks big because I am not that buff.
