Thanks for the vid review!!! Here is a short vid of how you should move the top when you press if you search brewfish. Also hold the glass at the top of it if too hot and tilt head back if a nose issue. We have a new one coming single wall and deeper with lines for coffee and water. The brewstop is key on the quality and this keeps it hot just long enough. Thanks again
@SStrandman No, thank you! I've enjoyed the brewfish for the last year and have it here with me in Korea. I use it quite frequently. It's a great invention, and now that I'm an expert with it, I can easily get into it without a hitch. I think I may pick up one or two more and give them as gifts! Thanks again!
I hope you are doing well! Its funny that you offered the idea of the new design we just started showing actually produced the glass 15 yrs ago. The Neo-brewfish, it has a neoprene sleeve that also works on your beer. The single wall glass on that one has markings for water and coffee as noted. I admit also even after designing this that I had to figure out how to use it also. Stay in touch.... we now call this the Brewfish because the filter looks like a fish.
@SStrandman Awesome. Yeah, I was just at the store the other day and showed it to my coworker in the office (she was enjoying the unique look of the brewfish while I had my coffee). I love how it keeps the coffee so warm!
Wow, you're right - it does look like a great product. I like a coffee press because it ends up with less oils and that tastes cleaner to me, but also because it's so fast and easy and perhaps uses a little bit less energy. The double wall, hand blown glass has an appeal for the eye as well as for the insulation function. Thanks Steve - great review of a product I may not have heard about.
Cool beans man! I was always frustrated with my press because it would cool so fast. This clearly solves that prob. Thanks for the heads up on this new product
It needs improvement...I am a coffee mega drinker and I don't need more work to drink it. Any new product has to make my coffee better and easier to drink or...what's the point?
What is your opinion on where coffee beans or ground coffee should be stored? I had always stored these at room temperature, but in recent years I switched to the freezer (owing to some "pro" advice). Now I hear some saying room temperature again. Frankly, I've seen no particular advantage in taste over time to freezer storage.
I usually keep them stored in an airtight container at room temperature. However, I also keep beans in the freezer as well. I haven't found any difference in taste, even after a long time.
Hey, I bought a like new French Press at a flea market yesterday for $3. Great deal.
It seems like there is a potential to overfill the container and either spill liquid or burn fingers because of this. In practice, this may work out. I think your idea of a frosted feature or etched line may help out with the overfill concern, but I'm not sure what they could do about burning fingers coming into contact with hot liquid.

That's some nice product you have over there. I wouldn't use it for coffee, but I bet it would work with some hot chocolate milk too!

A stainless steel press also solves the problem.

True. For a single use press, it's one of the better I've seen and used.

Looks like an interesting idea, I would agree that the lid would bug me a bit though.
I'm a big fan of coffee as well, and I'm doing a barista level 1 course in a few weeks on a year 12 trip. I can't wait.
Anyway good video there Steve, have a good one mate.

Awesome! I'd love to learn some mad Barista skills.

It's cool, but the coffee looks a little grainy why is that?
littlebugkf 2 years ago
Probably because the video hasn't been rendered into HQ or HD when you saw it.
qiranger 2 years ago
Oh ok, so it doesnt come out grainy at all when its done brewing? Do you brew it in that glass? Hahaha, I'm confused haha
littlebugkf 2 years ago
Yeah, you brew it in the glass and press it down to keep from drinking the grounds.
qiranger 2 years ago
Got it, that explains the grainy look..........can you add cream and sugar to it?

qiranger is the maaaaaaaaaan!

That looks like a very high-tech beverage dispenser.
Perhaps you could remove the sealer to drink, since it does seem to bump your nose.
Very good presentation. The music really makes the video!

That's one cool mug/press/thingie.
I like the rubber base and seal at the top especially since I'm such a klutz.
The frosted feature is a good idea.

I've had a blast with it.
