I don't think China will be like the Koreans or Japanese. The Chinese have one thing in mind - making money, and just as we saw, they will do it the cheapest, easiest way possible not caring about customer satisfaction of quality. Korea and Japan however quickly learnt from there mistakes and are now world leaders in virtually everything. I don't know if its because China is a communist country ? Meaning that no matter how hard you work you'll always get the same pay check ?

Give China some time. Japan used to make shitty cars too and had to copy alot of European cars. For example, Nissan copied Mercedes Engine. Over time, Japan began to develope even better cars. China is just like Japan and who knows what they will produce in the future.

Of course the Japanese and Koreans had humble beginnings. However, there weren't as many competitors back then either.

With the Chinese trying to get in, they also have to contend with more competition than the Japanese and Koreans had to contend with (including, of course, the Japanese and Koreans themselves).

If the Chinese cannot make themselves competitive, they may not last in more sophisticated automotive markets.

There is a big difference between MANUFACTURING and ENGINEERING AND DESIGN.

Many of the stuff that's "made in China" in your household may have been designed in Japan or the United States.

So long as the manufacturing end follows the blueprints, schematics and requirements, then it wouldn't matter where it was made as it will work as well as the design allows.

Chinese cars is an attempt not only at manufacturing, but engineering and design as well. This is where the problem lies.

Chinese cars suck. most Chinese products look very nice but when you use it they are crap. I bought a lot of stuff from China they look good but trust me there is always at least 1 thing wrong with Chinese products

Malaysian? Oh come on man i stayed there for 3 years. Your Proton and Perodua sold to customer without rear seat belts hahaha not to mention the quality of the car. There is no difference and I think the Chinese are better than you Malaysian because they entered the US market now but your Proton could not because your cars have no safety, check out TOP GEAR pls.
