doom riffs of Iommi and the cursed voice of Dio,specialy in the slow riffs (fx: 1:28) can make your heart sick ... i am getting sick when i hear them .. and tehe rythm section .. shit dudes, they are gods !!!!!!!!!
Great solo from Iommi. I love the way he just peels of the notes. He's not doing anything technically amazing but plays tastefully within the song. Shredders take note!
@TheOnlyAttrition Yeah, but consider this: How can anybody consider Spinal Tap a "joke," in an age in which we're expected to listen to crap like the Jonas Brothers, Justin Timberlake, and "Lady Gaga," AND take that shite seriously??? Even Spinal Tap has chops and Sabbath -- well, Sabbath is above the insults of such dillholes.
@quornholio ok. i havent heard any of Spinal Tap's stuff (well i may have, but didnt know it to be from Spinal Tap) and i have full confidence in your word that ST are awesome. TRUE, i hate lady gaga, and that beeber kid (which made usher lose all respect i had for him). But i think we should stop this, because that dude who made that original comment is just a dick, and i believe we (mainly you) are overthinking this. he's a dick; just let it stop there.
for a bunch of 60+ year olds, these guys are kicking all other bands asses with this stuff - Be ashamed youth of the world with your Auto -Tune, 'producers', video hits and black eyed peas!
It's a computer program that you can use to record music on a computer, one of many. It CAN make arranging many different music tracks easier. A lot of the newer albums tend to make guitars sound too compressed or too loud and muffle the drums with almost no bass presence. The best sounding and evenly mixed album I've heard using it was Godsmack's "IV". The best way to tell if an album is recorded on tape or Pro-Tools is to listen to anything done in the 70s or 80s or even the 90s versus now.
Metallica used it on "St. Anger", Megadeth used it on the two albums before "Endgame", and Ozzy's last two have been recorded on it, just a few of the most recent albums I can think off the top of my head. You'll know if you look in the liner notes under the technical stuff where it might say "Pro-Tools Editing By" or something like that.
I think that's the reason I'm still going to watch those guys in live concerts. If someone likes this kind of music, thre's nothing better than a good old heavy metal band performing live.\m/
That's exactly right. Legit musicians doing what they're good at because they LOVE it, not for album sales or to follow a trend in order to extend their careers, will always attract a following.
this albums is magic , i love it , genius , also love the dvd (seems they all like the colour purple ha), they still have their magic touch , i think even more then before , they brought all their experience !
Often times I see "cool" band members act like total idiotic douches offstage, but it's nice to see a band with really smart, nice guys that still is badass.
This song is quite good , am not sure why but this album doesn't do it for me, (haven't even bought it ) . I like Dehumanizer more , it's more agressive and the songs sound better! They are all good , still the Devil You Know isn't to bad and i may decide to buy it one day .
the new album is great dudes ! It is like they stopped the fucking time at 1980 ... but ,god,i saw them live and i swear that thay are better from the golden years too !!! THESE GUYS ARE GODS !!!
Yes; this was the line-up that made the albums The Mob Rules, and, also, Dehumannizer under the Sabbath name. They are not touring under the name "Black Sabbath" because Iommi wanted to differentiate between the "Ozzy-Sabbath"(Which was inducted into the RnRHOF), and "Dio-Sabbath" They are currently touring under the moniker "Heaven and Hell". I don't foresee Sabbath w/ Ozzy touring any time soon, though.
This is the strongest material each member of the band has made since they disbanded after Dehumanizer. It's no coincidence, since they are all masters of their craft.
I didn't like what i read in the paper today Ozzy sues Tony over the bands name.
Long Live Heaven & Hell, who want's the original line up back now after this. Dio's voice sounds much better anyway. This line up played one of of the best concerts iv'e been too if not the best. Tony shouldn't let Dio go again, what happpened after Dehunamizer was stupid,
Right, I thought it hilarious how Ozzy decided to sue Tony, now..whilst Dio is in the lineup and AFTER they release a very succesful album...it's just rediculous. On a side note, Atom and Evil is probably my favorite song off the Devil You Know.
No composites.... Tony iommi Is Spinal Tap, all on his own.

@quornholio its not that it sounds like Tap, its that he [termsofusepolice] thinks this song is some kind of "joke". thats what pisses us off.

@quornholio ok. for some reason now, i cant find the comment where you were defending spinal tap.
anywho, what i meant (if it wasn't clear), is that im pissed bacause he thinks that this song is a "joke song" and that Sabbath should die.
