There shold be no path to citizenship 4 anyone entering the U.S. illegally. R policy granting citizenship to Anyone Born Here of illegal parents needs to be reexamined. Its outmoded & provides incentive to enter the U.S. illegally.
Election Day results sent a message Americans R -Fed Up with Mexicans. More than 60 Democratic House & four Dem senators, most pro-amnesty, were defeated. Those who kept their seats should be nervous about bucking the trend toward enforcement.
wow and you call yourself a Christian? You sound like a moron to me. I would love for you to come say that comment to my face. I would beat your ass like corn bread batter. And here is some advice: get a job, move out of your parents house, and make yourself useful. Btw dont need the dream act anymore, and I am going to be working for Border Patrol as well you fool. How ironic huh..
No kidding, someone like that sound just like the people that what's needed by that country that he and his parents run out of! Where there are millions that could use his help getting there dream! Steal our dream or you giving it away is wrong! But worse you don't want to fix what made the problem, just keep them coming! I know sending them back like they ever came makes me bad? Right! like hell it does! Who better to change what wrong in there country than they themselves who now know freedom!
Im back people and so is the Dream Act really (The nightmare act).
Mission: Stop the dream act before it turns into a nightmare act for America
Objective: Call your Senators and tell them to vote no on The Dream Act during the lame duck sessions
The 44th Idiot Durbin is at his old games again ( passing the Amnesty act) ca...ll or fax him and let him know you do not support the breaking and disregard for the breaking of our federal laws. Sign the petition at wwwnumbersusadotcom
Don't hold your breath waiting for the Dream Act to ever be passed. The first time it went before Congress was the closest it came to being passed. The last time it was less close. And now that more voters are finding out about it, and very upset about illegal aliens being given anything excerpt stiff fines and deportation, it is likely that it will never come up for vote again, since there is a GROWING resentment towards illegals.
I'm sure your wife can have her college credits transferred.
Actually we are waiting to see if the dream act will pass so we can file within the us. If it does not, then her appointment will be in Mexico. Either way, she will get her residency
Realistically, the political atmosphere indicates a growing voter resentment towards the Dream Act. Its popularity is going down, not up, along with its likelihood of replacing ALREADY-EXISTING federal law, which says it's a felony CRIME to aid or abet, or to encourage or harbor, illegal aliens. See this web address:
Try to engage a lawyer in Mexico to act on her behalf. Maybe he can represent her by giving him "power of attorney" to apply for a U.S. visa on her behalf without her having to return to Mexico. For every problem there's a solution. And whatever the lawyer charges will be worth it if your wife can begin working legally here.
The vast majority of voters OPPOSE giving illegals "free" college, amnesty, or anything else but stiff fines and deportation.
All universities and other schools harboring illegal aliens should be PROSECUTED. And our own kids should fill the college slots STOLEN by illegal aliens.
What's wrong with the University of Mexico, etc. in their own country? Don't tell me those schools only give degrees in fruit-picking and cleaning toilets. :)~
You knew when you married her that she is here illegally. So you were wrong for not first sending her back to her own country, then paying for her visa, as I did for my Hispanic wife.
I love my wife too much to send her back to Mexico. I hope the dream act passes because it would speed up the naturalization process. If i can fight for her rights here, I will do it
The pro-illegals lobbyists picked the most atypical case they could find that they thought could be used to tug on the heartstrings of the sheep easily duped and brainwashed.
But here's the reality: Federal law says it's a felony CRIME to aid or abet, or to encourage or harbor, an illegal alien. So the schools in Florida that HARBORED Walter as a student should all be PROSECUTED, fined $5,000 and made to foot the bill for his deportation, not taxpayers.
Thank you Congressman! I'm really excited that Walter was able to stay in the country thanks to the efforts of grassroots organizations led by young activists. But the DREAM Act needs to pass so no other young immigrant is faced with such a huge obstacle. DREAM Act beneficiaries consider this country their home and they deserve to be given the chance to prove what an asset they can be to this society. Once again, thank you and let's pass the DREAM Act this year!!
Well, technically yes, but isn't the young man highlighted in the video someone who deserves a chance and has proven themselves worthy of being in this country?
Why should this change the fact that he is here illegally? He is old enough to know he was illegal and yet continue to stay without regard for his status.
Would you be willing to violate immigration law if you could escape Soviet Germany? North Korea? Because some countries that these kids who grew up in the States come from, are not far behind in terms of living.
I come from a third world country, and not a day goes by that I take for granted the fact that police in the US come to your help if you call them. Where I come from, police officers make so little that they don't want to risk their lives saving other people's lives.
Would you still say "illegal is illegal" to a DREAMer who is willing to serve in the military, possibly dying in combat, just because he loves this country?
It is called situational ethics. If it is wrong, it is wrong. If it is illegal, it is illegal. What about all the American kids who cannot afford to go to college because we are paying the bills of those here illegally? They are good kids and legal citizens.
what about punishing a child because of something he wasn't aware of. does he deserve to be punished? there was an article a few months back of a high school kid that was told by his parents that he's a US citizen. He tried enlist in the marines only to be put in a room and be interrogated by jag officers claiming that he tried to get into the marines with fake documents. He was shocked to find out from his own mother that he was actually illegal and that they lied that he was a citizen.
Does he deserve to be punished joe? he is a VICTIM.
You're probably going to blame the parents, and sadly they can't do anything but guess what? the US can do something which is to give them a chance to be legal. A CHANCE it's not a damn freebie A CHANCE to contribute to the US for the betterment of the nation.
This is not about punishing him. Putting him in jail would be punishment. Granted, even if his parents lied to him, that does not make him legal. Anyone can claim they did not know what their status was or is. He is illegal, and should be deported. He can apply to return legally like everyone else.
Are you even aware that regardless of your knowledge being "out of status" or "illegal" you are barred for at least 10 years for entering the US upon deportation? Anyone can claim that they didn't know? What nonsense are you saying? please stop the paranoia.
cause there is nothing he can do to legalize his status. he is stuck in a rut he never created. you shouldn't be commenting on this issue since you obviously lack knowledge of immigration laws
Again, whether his problems are of his own making or not is not relevant. He is and was illegal. He knew he was illegal. His parents knew he was illegal. Even if he was returned to his own country, he has an education. He can always apply for legal immigration from his country of origin.
Do you not realize that the "Dream Act" would become another reason for illegals to come to this country?
Was? He is and he never knew until jag officers confronted him with it. What if someone accused you of crime you didn't do? Would it be right for you to be prosecuted for it? NO this is what you're trying to say.
An education? he hasn't even graduated high school yet and even if he did you clearly have no knowledge of immigration law and shouldn't comment on this issue. With what's on his belt there no way in hell he can legalize.
Any person that had to go through immigration 's hoops can testify how ridiculous the US.'s immigration system is. Read a recent statement from condoleeza rice where she breaks away from the right wing on the issue of immigration. Because of the US's harsh immigration policies other countries have been taking advantage and making it easier for their immigrants to get legalized status or citizenship. Those are immigrants the US should have had.
THE DREAM ACT is not another reason for immigrants to come to the US because when it is enacted it only applies to youth under 30 that were here before the bill is enacted, it doesn't apply to newcomers. please read the actual bill itself and not a bogus interpretation of a biased source.
The bill is also a reason for prospective gang members to not pursue a life of crime because you automatically lose eligibility or the dream act if you have committed a felony.
great speech congressman polis. these are hardworking people who have not commited any serious crime and would be of great help to the economy and our country. I hope the Dream Act passes this time around.
That is the typical liberal methodology. They force the American people to pay for these illegals, then say, "Well, we have already invested money in them so let them stay". When does it stop?
There shold be no path to citizenship 4 anyone entering the U.S. illegally. R policy granting citizenship to Anyone Born Here of illegal parents needs to be reexamined. Its outmoded & provides incentive to enter the U.S. illegally.

Yes, I asked both senators for immigration reform. But there appears to be a huge difference of opinion in what REFORM is needed.
For I called that number, demanding that already-existing laws be enforced against illegal aliens.
And THAT is the "reform" needed.
I also asked that Jared Polis and any other TRAITOR in Congress be IMPEACHED and PROSECUTED,
for aiding and abetting and encouraging illegal aliens. For THAT is a felony CRIME.
