You interpretation is excellent, carries the greatness demanded by this organ piece.

I heard it played by Hans Bönisch at the organ of the Cathedral of Salvador, Bahia - Brazil. I told him this was my favorite organ music, he thought for some seconds and said "come back next week".

So the next Sunday I came back and showed myself. He then invited me to go up there and sit by the organ's immense tubes.

This day I could feel the music inside my lungs, vibrating the sensation of being alive!

absolutely fantastic registration, I have access to a fantastic instrument in Edinburgh with many good barouqe stops which makes bach and buxtehude all the more enjoyable to play

I first heard this magnificent work during the tercentenary year of BACH, Handel and Scarlatti, 1985 sponsored by the American Guild of Organists and learned it soon after. It has long been a favorite work of mine. BRAVO, with the other comments posted here. Always refreshing to hear this piece played so well. I'd take it a wee bit slower, but with BACH one is always free to rock. I've often heard this piece performed several times in a day played as differently by as many organists. SDG.
