Nolan tends to go for the darker and more realistic approach...sort of like...what would happen if these heroes and villains were real? Its what made the Joker in the Dark Knight. Seeing as how Johnny played Sweeney Todd, I think he might be able to portray a dark riddler...personally...i prefer Riddler as a dark, tragic character as opposed to Carrey's goofy Riddler...but kudos for Carrey playing as Riddler, had a lot of laughs.
