Well he played drums on Songs for The Deaf and then toured with them for like 6 months or something. (I advise you to check the rest of my videos, there's some interesting live perfomances of the Queens with Dave on drums).
@threshers1234 Listen to it! It doesn't sound like anything else except maybe the'80s! They have a have a differenct sound only reminescent of other bands in the same genre, God in his unlike way may have made two voices that sounded similar?
@musicmydrug10 Listen to Queen dude. Any song, and you'll realise why this isn't original. It's amazing, but not original. Even tay admits it isn't original at all.
@threshers1234 I know Queen wee enough! I'm not a dude, I'm a woman, thx. And based in all their music, I personally, not you, not Ray, I find something original- sounding in it. Ya not like it's the whole song, butit has a lil certain somethin. That's my opinion. Thx for letting me have it. Peace
@musicmydrug10 I don't know what point your fighting. Yeah, it's original in the fact no one is being so obviously inspired by Queen nowadays, but other than that it's not original because it's so obviously inspired by Queen. It's not really about a matter of opinion. 'a lil certain somethin' doesn't erase the majority of the sound which has been borrowed by Queen. Which isn't a bad thing, the song is great, and so is Taylor, and so is Queen.
@mikescruffy1 A: watch a video of them performing live, hes always surrounded by a cloud of smoke, B: listen to "cold day in the sun" by foo fighters and then listen to this, the difference in his voice is shocking
Do they really want to? WE ALL WANT TO. thats where you go. great lyrics great fun rock and roll. god gave rock and roll to u gave rock and roll to u put it in the soul of everyone.
but this is not the case. I have thw album. Brian plays guitar on a few songs, and Roher only gives a little vocal on one song... thats all.. :( which is a bumber, as I wanted to hear Roger on Brian on all songs
When I listened to this song for the first time I was like "Hm,...Queen!...I approve." And then it was announced that Brian May and Roger Taylor were apart of this!...I was so proud of myself for reckognizing them.
Going to have to listen to it a few more times - a very 70's sound and a lot like Queen towards the end. Taylor has a really great voice, could be a grower!
I'm really looking forward to this album! Their last album was awesome, but if this song sets the standards of the new one, it's gonna be better than the self-titled album for sure :D
I just can't remember, can some of you guys remind me what connection did Dave has with Queen of the Stone Age?

to be honest, i love taylors singing and all, but i think dave would have done this song better

@rfogo14
Really though, Dave Grohl could sing many songs from a lot of bands better cause he’s a great frontman, so point = invalid.
Twigglet13 1 year ago
@rfogo14 but this isn't a foo fighters song, it's taylor's therefore he sings it
