  • @johannajoline blues

  • @johannajoline I know you asked this 4 months ago, but hopefully you're still into this music! I'd recommend looking into the 1930s/40s Blues if you like this tune... just a few artists I'd recommend are Arthur 'Leadbelly' Ledbetter and Blind Lemon Jefferson.

  • song is about the great depression

  • Anyone know the type of guitar Tommy is playing here? It looks and sounds beautiful.

  • "they done R-U-N-N-O-F-T", hilarious.........

  • One guy actually disliked this. Some people just don't deserve to be born with ears...

  • Ahhhh...What a relaxing scene...Out in the wilderness, a few friends sitting/laying quietly around a warm fire, one of them playing a relaxing song on a guitar...That's my kind of heaven...Just peace and quiet...

Regardless of the kind of music you listen to, you'll appreciate the music in this film.

this song is amazing no matter what music you listen to

  • george cluni sucks without john and tim..

  • That guitar chord...wow!

It just sends you, and carries the song.

Wonderful film, I miss watching it.

  • think about this song when you listen to the tripe everyone is musically fed on TV and radio

  • so good...

  • original song recorded by 'skip james' in 1931

  • yeah, this song is great. you can actually feel it.

  • no doubt, easily the best part in the film and i completely agree with the amount of soul in this part

  • @AnhedonicTheFirst couldnt have put it better myself, makes me want to go make a fire and stare at it.

  • @AnhedonicTheFirst This whole movie was magic

  • damn..how many times i rewinded this part. he expresses exactly hat i would like to express

  • Y'all knw there was an actual delta blues man named Tommy Johnson who, like Robert Johnson, said he sold hs soul to the devil. That's who Chris Thomas King is actually modeled after

  • I would say he could be a good actor to play Robert Johnson but there's already a film on you tube played by a different guy about Robert Johnson it's called stop breakin down.

  • He would remind yeah of Robert Johnson and guitar he's playing. He nearly exactly looks the spitting image of him. Love the music

  • Only similarities i see are Black Man + Accoustic Guitar

  • Well no, I think that that shot is supposed to be based on that picture of robert where hes got the derby hat tilted the way it is and he's wearing the same suit. The guitar is similar too, and the way his posture is.

  • anyone know the tuning this song is in?

  • Open D minor, (DADFAD)

  • "...I'm gonna visit them foreclosin' son-fo-a-guns down at the Savings and Loan...slap that money on the barrelhead and buy back the family farm. You ain't no kinda man if you ain't got land."

  • If you aint got laaand

  • Great movie, better song. The Gibson L1 and suit just scream Robert Johnson, but he is singing a James tune. lol

  • i love this song and this movie for that matter thanks for putting this up

  • leave a black man the woods for 3 weeks and you will get the best blues ever such as this song

  • robert johnson homage?

  • Thats what i thought! tommy and Robert johnsons both are said to have sold there soul and in return he was give amazing ablities on guitar

  • that and he weres his hat down over his eyes like robert did

  • Good version - very true to Skp James. Nice that there are still some fans of the old stuff. Thanks for posting it.

  • There's quite a few clips of that scene on YouTube, I don't know...I think the movie's worth seeing, so I'm letting people know where they can buy it. I remember what happened to your blues videos though 2oobwatcher, pity :(

  • amazing tune and I loved the movie.....however, I doubt they'll allow you to keep it posted :-(
