@ntheg absolutely agree.... every scene is great ... every line of dialogue ... not a wasted line in the movie... great characters... great music... great casting... I've seen this flick at least 30 times and it never gets old.
@johannajoline I know you asked this 4 months ago, but hopefully you're still into this music! I'd recommend looking into the 1930s/40s Blues if you like this tune... just a few artists I'd recommend are Arthur 'Leadbelly' Ledbetter and Blind Lemon Jefferson.
Ahhhh...What a relaxing scene...Out in the wilderness, a few friends sitting/laying quietly around a warm fire, one of them playing a relaxing song on a guitar...That's my kind of heaven...Just peace and quiet...
this song brings back memorys of when me and a few friends used to go down in the wood for the night always saying to our parents were sleeping over at such and such places but one night a friend called tom brought his guitar and while we were sitting round the campfire he suddenly started playing this song i will always remember that moment the smell of dew in the air the sound of wolves in the distants it was truely a magic moment and would give anythign to go back...:/
This is my all time favorite movie. forget star wars ....fuck lord of the rings......there is no better movie and not another movie soundtrack that compares to this...a phenominal film with an awesome plot......"You aint no kinda man if you aint got land"
One reviewer said, "A movie to love and a soundtrack to cherish"---and he's right. My favorite soundtrack of all time, and one of the best renditions of this song ever. It puts a chill right through your soul.
to each his ... they music is great but his expression really bring a new element to the role he played.. i mean you wont understand where iam coming from..
Y'all knw there was an actual delta blues man named Tommy Johnson who, like Robert Johnson, said he sold hs soul to the devil. That's who Chris Thomas King is actually modeled after
I would say he could be a good actor to play Robert Johnson but there's already a film on you tube played by a different guy about Robert Johnson it's called stop breakin down.
Well no, I think that that shot is supposed to be based on that picture of robert where hes got the derby hat tilted the way it is and he's wearing the same suit. The guitar is similar too, and the way his posture is.
"...I'm gonna visit them foreclosin' son-fo-a-guns down at the Savings and Loan...slap that money on the barrelhead and buy back the family farm. You ain't no kinda man if you ain't got land."
There's quite a few clips of that scene on YouTube, I don't know...I think the movie's worth seeing, so I'm letting people know where they can buy it. I remember what happened to your blues videos though 2oobwatcher, pity :(
