My first favorite band EVER. My first concert when I was 5 or 6 in Meadow Lake.I'm 24 now and this song still sounds as good now as it did way back then. Better than anything else I've ever heard, ever.
You know why this group is so cool? They don't promote themselves with boobs, bling, and bucks. They are more than fantastic - they are a contagious spirit. They are real!
Had this song on my "walkman" as I was sailing through the inside passage in the early evening, all I can say is that it will always be one of my favorite moments from the past...so far.
i remember this song!! my mom would play it and lay down with me when i was like 2 or 3 !! NItanish is my "may-may" song!! May-may means "nap" or ni-pah and she would keep on singing may-may baby and yeahh.. i would fall asleep ^_^
hmmm.. i remember this song. My mom use to, and still does actually, listen to this song every afternoon... okay maybe im lying lol. she listens to it whenever she can, and she's so happy and all excited when she hears this song. its an awesome song! (=
GREAT song! Does anyone know what dialect it is in and is there a translation? I drove my kids crazy listening to this. The wanted to know what was being said and all I could tell them was, if it makes you feel good does it really matter?

These guys are Canadian Indians.
They sing in the Innu language in most of their songs.
Innu is a language from the Algonquian language family.
Most people from their area speak Innu fluently. Very rare in this day and age.
