@pieguy61 They stay on floors from the lobby up, but since the hotel is so tall, they have seperate elevators for seperate floors. I have no idea why one floor is bigger tho.

May I recommend the elevators at the other Marriott Marquis in Times Square? Those are rockets too! They travel at 1400 fpm! How do I know? Because I've gone for a joyride on them. Plus the destination entry is different...Miconic 10, the Schindler equivalent of Otis's Compass.

@moose9784 P.S. There's mood lighting at the top and bottom of each panoramic cabin, and those elevators travel up and down a monumental column that totally dominates the atrium.Trust me. Those elevators up there are INSANE!!!!!

Those are my FAVORITE elevators of all I've ridden! I like the call button as well on the first floor. I didn't know it had a stop switch.

Ha, 2:06 is very dangerous and would probably be covered up with glass sields in the UK! I hate it when the h"Health and Safety" is too much but your so lucky to se that! Great vid!

These Elevators are cool, and are rockets, they go 1200fpm. I also like the series 1 fixtures!
