these magazines are crap, maybe it was because of the long hair, many people don't like men with long hair...however his face is just perfect and stunning...hair is a matter of taste just like clothes, but they don't make anyone ugly or beautiful!

people in different countries have different facial features. Although not widely known, people most often unconciously feel attracted to features they have themself ("face matching").

The reason why he could be conceived as less attractive in his own country than others, is that he could look different than the common norwegian look (which norwegians on average find attractive > because they share looks), while other countries may "share" his face (on average)
