  • Well, this surprises me. When I attended TU in the early 1980's, it treated the academic functions of a university almost as a nuisance, compared with the resources it devoted towards athletics, sports and Greek life. After I graduated in Dec. 1985 with a bachelor's in math and started to look for a job to try to redeem the money I wasted at TU, I saw job interviewers suppress the temptation to laugh when they asked me about my degree.
