she's talking normally here although still putting it on a little, You can tell the difference, when she sings she drops the t's and puts on the cockney, and to have a strong of an accent as that you'd have to be working class growing up the heart fo east london. she's a private school girl with a rich daddy.

Fair enough, I'll concede you know more about the accents than me, but I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing for her to do that, if it sounds good. The Beatles cockneyed it up, and Mick Jagger sounded American, not saying she's in that class, but both worked.
Saying she owes her career to her family connections is an oversimplification, I think (maybe I made that point already). The path she took shows at least some individual perseverance on her part.

That's not how music works..you must study some basic level of music theory, know an instrument, nd write ur own material..otherwise you'd be a slave to some co-psedo producer that does all of that work for you *cough cough lily and company.

@weenerwallet - wrong about most everything, as far as I can tell. You don't need guitar to make pop, plenty of other instruments out there, keyboards/synths are enough, for example. Guitar's not that hard to learn, not that tough on the fingers after the first month or so, don't know how good Katy is at it, but I would guess she doesn't play anything too difficult, you definitely do not NEED to study music theory. Writing pop SONGS involves lyrics and composition, but this has been discussed.
