for some reason I dont like when my fan gets loud not because it is loud but because It sounds like my computers going under enormous strain and heat. it makes me feel uneasy. IDK im weird like that.
i dont really see the problem, if you have to wave it to get the sound, i accidently dropped my macbook about 1 m and its only suffering from a few minor scrapes, if the hard drive is completely trashed i can understand but you shouldnt need a replacement one
Mine makes a noise that is kinda of positional and only does it in certain positions and is when it is reved up a little does anyone think its ok? Should I worry about it? I love it and I hope nothing is wrong with it?
Yep, the original MacBook had a big problem with the fan noise. :-(

Why would that be an issue? Do you just sit there and jiggle your macbook. Generally when I use one it's sat still on a desk or my lap...

It's a generally a good thing if your fans are working on high, they're putting out more air that way. But I get your uneasy feeling.

To all mac-OS lovers out there:
I purchased a MACBook Air... then I dumped MAC OS X completelly, erased the hard disk 100% and now... TADAAAA!....
It's running... Windows Vista!...
LOL!...
Flame away, you fools!
Note: I kept MAC OS X and the whole image of the disk, for when (if ever) I want to revert
back to OS X, or when I want to sell the PC.
Something few MAC users are able to do... but we, Windows users, know so well about: restarting from scratch!
WiseMax 3 years ago
I bet you do know how to restart from scratch, after getting a nasty virus or stuffing up your computer with useless things.
Gerardoe52 3 years ago 3
Yes, Gerardo, I know - but basically we are to blame for getting 80% of the 20% trouble that's really nasty.
I won't even get started on my troubles with the MacBook Air, due to overheating!... 3 times I claimed the problem, still waiting for solution.
Who needs viruses when you have ... Apple?...
And I will silence the woes I have with my 3G iPhone - 1 month and already lost all access to my over 1,500 USD purchaded contents and Apps!...
Ah, don't get me started with ranting about Apple.

No it didn't turn off, it was set that way. Nor was it the CD noise. Trust me, that was the fan. I'm not an idiot.

Is it just me or did the closer Macbook turn off when you unplugged it?
adz123321 4 years ago
great that you got a replacement
jameswithaxe 5 years ago
Yes. I don't believe this is a software issue either. Could be the bearing seating in the fan giving some play.
SenesX 5 years ago
Did you installed the new firmware updates?
eclipx 5 years ago
They came with a firmware newer than one the Mac website.
But I doubt software would sort this out!
