I can't believe the makers of these chips are still in business, I thought softmods killed this market. There's so much more cheaper options than soldering a chip into the Wii. Prey on the gullible, I guess. For that I say, kudos.

I just installed it perfectly as per the video and my wii won't run any discs at all. They spin up for a few seconds, then stop. I have my wii on the latest software update; is this the cause?

I actually have been using my drive key for about 2 weeks now with no problems. But the otherday my friend told me that software updates can very well brick wii's with drivekeys and that also playing "back uped" wii games online can also brick it.

I was wondering if anyone can tell me that this is correct or not? thanks.

redundancy isn't a good idea when it comes to modchips. You should take it out first.  If you installed it with wires instead of their "recommended" hard soldering, you should have no problem removing it.

everything is the same just make sure your dvds arent crappy or really cheap(my mochip is on its way its the same as in the vid)

It's also a good idea to softmod and use a USB loader while you're at it in order to preserve the laser.
