"Safe trip home" est extraordinaire. Tellement d'émotions et de vécu qui se dégage de cet opus, je ne m'en lasse pas. Toutes les pistes y compris les remix et bonus sont excellents, parfaits pour passer un agréable moment et s'évader dans l'univers de Dido qui se dévoile un peu plus. Ce remix de "the day before the day" est excellent, aussi bon que l'original avec son inspiration orientale. Bref, excellent, j'adore !
Et éeverything to lose" et ses remix annonce un album génial...vive Dido.
The more and more i listen to it, the more I like this sadness with a sauce of relaxing and hurting but real inevitability. Truly likeable, but still it needs some adaptation. Because normally we do not hear sadness portrayed in this intelligent way. It may seem strange and lack of respect, but still it can get to you. I think... it's possible.
Was Dido *insane*? This version is so majestically far and beyond the version that finally made it to the album that it's unfunny. Can't the public deal with a 5/4 time signature or something? I bet Jon Brion wasn't impressed at this becoming a bonus track.
Maybe she was Stoned!! This mix sounds like Thank You, and The Day Before the Day is about her dad, and how he left her life and her heart was broken for that... I feel these music is not for that song.
And yes, we can hear the original version, thanks!!
In my opinion the music of this version doesn't reflect the lyrics' message. In the original Dido was quite more successful concearning this point, nearly perfect.
the album version is better

I like this one a lot... but I prefer the original... because there is a lot of melancholy on her voice that makes you feel the same...

I think this version gives another touch to the original song, maybe this is the hope side and the album version is the melancolic side.

Yuk - I know this could be a demo, but it's awful
phillper0906 2 years ago
Not exactly awful, but is not cute (as Dido's music is)

I think it sounds good. We're all just used to hearing the original, which somewhat taints our impression of this version.

Oh no this isnt good
the album version is so much better
its more emotional
the lyrics and the music do not go
Especially considering the song is about her dad who passed away

I like this, however I prefer the original.
Either way, the lyrics are mesmerising and Dido's vocals and musicianship never fail to impress.
