  • Thank you for these Videos.

  • Everything becomes awkward whenn your doing this when ur mom walks in

  • Master Wong, I'm going to subscribe please accept xia xia.

  • @sesshomarucaseclosed If your're trying to say Thank You in Chinese you failed. It's Xie Xie. In Chinese Characters, 谢谢

  • Thanks for your efforts Master Wong!!

  • think he speaks weird? Try his language fags

  • omg all those haters with a big mouth: Go to Master Wong and he'll beat you so you won't act like a sturdy boy anymore

  • i think that these leasons are very good.

    he starts from the beginning.

anyone can learn this art of self defense

  • Don't think that these martial don't work in today's world in an era of guns.If you get caught in a crossfire, these martial arts will help you shave your seconds to save your life by giving you flexible abilities to distract the gunmen and strength to bear gun bullets or using both to do some close encounter or to steal guns and disabling him while your opponent is reloading it.Very very useful against gangbangers, terrorists etc.

  • @clydedsouza46:

I'm a united states Marine... I assure you that nowhere in combat will you ever fight an armed man unarmed. Martial arts are meant for close quarter combat scenarios, and when a gunmen is close these tactics are effective. Obviously you aren't going to use martial arts from a distance...

  • It is not his shoes that squeak,it is the polished wooden ground that makes it squeak. And though this is hard,an every morning practice like he said will make this easy. What he is teaching now is not only the foundation of Wing Chun,it can really help you in kicks in nearly all kinds of martial arts.

  • It really is hard!!!!!! try it with all day just the footwork and exercise is enough to make my legs and thighs numb... =) what a great exercise!

  • I will have to start slow with this...haha I was taught to keep on my toes with american kempo, this seems a bit more grounded

  • @ambaileupi Oh yeah!Try slow first, then go fast and don't give up this training b'cuz it is painful.I am black belt in Karate and I got many joint pain in starting when I was a white belt, but now I became stronger, healthier and flexible in this level after years of struggle. As said in a common phrase 'No pain!No gain!!'

  • squeeky ass shoes

  • I'm sry, I'm sry but if it was a white guy doing this. I would not believe a thing he is saying. Thanx Wong Sifu

  • Ip Man trained WingChun

Bruce Lee trained too but hi made a new martial art named 'Jeet Kun Do" ;)

  • ip man FTW!!!!

  • thanks masteR

  • very helpful! Thanks so much!!

  • He doesn't really explain why you have to do it or step like that, than it's useless even if you train it

  • There is a problem with keeping your weight on one leg however. If your opponent starts working on that leg, you could be in some serious trouble. Then again, maybe Wing Chun doesn't keep it's weight on one leg like that and I'm just making a fool out of myself.

  • @TheManiacalSatanist6 My understanding is it's a 70-30 kind of thing. I'm not well learned in wing chun either though.

  • It's a good thing that this man understands the importance of basics. Most modern-day MMA practitioners don't even know how to make a proper fist. It's really said to see.

  • @TheManiacalSatanist6 they do its just theres alot of grapeling so its hard to have a closed fist the whole time

  • i want to learn wing chun and its great that sombody use his time to explain it thumbs upXD but i dont think you can learn it with video tutorials only:-)

  • I guess

  • Master wong i was just wondering, for this exercise would it also be ok for me to train my stomach muscles as well? That way it would be easier for me to shift my center of gravity to the side that has more weight placed on it.

  • je to borec a jsem rád že se mohu začít učit Wing Chun

  • @NCbackwoods1 It is best not to act on revenge. If they are trolls then leave them alone. It will hurt them more than showing how much it affects you.

  • just from watching these first 3 videos has made me want to learn this

  • @brwnhoney

That's the best way to start. :) I would suggest seeking out a teacher, however. You're going to have questions that these videos can't answer, and they're going to be very important questions, too.

  • So basically its just moving your leg forward and drag your other foot behind you?

  • How long is long enough if you train for good health and mental stability?

  • @theinfamousnick every day. With a partner

  • this is like ip man does. its great and a honor to learn this art of self defense

  • @0011000111000111000 thats were i got it from lolz

  • @0011000111000111000 Not self defense, but murder.

  • Thank you Master Wong Keep doing the good work of Wing Chun

  • wing chung it is more efective that peopple thing, alsois very easy to learn, just need some practice andd be sonstant, about peopple that think that any teacher should to teach anything for free, this is a free world, and internet is free, and why you need money for learn, i was in wing chung academy, and my teachers charge money for everything, taking avantice (in my opinion) because if we pay every month for the lessons, why we must to pay for the eams and we need to buy their matirial, thanks

  • so are both his toes facing forward or is the back leg(with all the weight on it) kinda pointed outward?

  • cant find lesson 1

  • wow

  • particular lol

  • I'm bore with listening that word particular xD :D

  • @VladaSpeedY96 Stop whining he is offering these excercises for free and you should be grateful for that

  • @falthy3 hahahha okay, no problem :D

  • Comment removed

  • thanks master, your vieos are very instructive

  • I agree people do need to stop nagging bout his technique work

  • Could u explain why your stance is so narrow and why u r loosing a grip while moving.Thx

  • master thank you for your videos! are teaching me a lot!

keep posting videos please! I'm starting to follow your channel and do not intend to stop over!

  • "i'll see you onto the next exercise" Only he can make that sentence sound cool :)

  • Parchiculuh

  • as a encer, i find this kind of walk very unhandy and troubling

  • particular exercise

  • why does this all feel natural to me lol i guess it cuz i took a tiny bit of classes when i was a kid i only became a yellow belt n my g ma took me out cuz i was messing around to much but hey i was little

  • KEEP WATCHING HIS VIDEOS HA HES REALLY FAST BUT VERY CLEAR AND IS VERY FUNNY HAHA

  • thank you thank you thank you Master Wong, We don't have a Wing Chun School in our country, but at least I found comfort in these well explaining videos. Finally I can start practicing this noble art :) thanks again

  • lixo !!!! quero ver aplicar esse wing chun desse jeito!!!

  • this is helping real good

  • powticcular lol

  • @Super1ummah

i want to hear how do you speak chinese....

  • i was talking to someone a while ago because with self defense im not the best and he said search wing chun lessons and i learned with only 2 lessons how to kick higher than i am

  • @fighter0dog Ummm... Wing Chun's not about head kicks... what two vids did you watch? Those last two? Because you'd have to do a lot of those squats and a lot of turning to all of a sudden throw a head kick. You probably already had the flexibility, and that's all you need to kick high. Kicking high and with power is a different story though.

  • master wong is the best!!so fck of haters you don't know anything!!!!!!!!!!!jst stfu plzzz and thank u..GOOO Master wooooong your vid are amazing!!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • I just want all of you to remember that the basics of wing chun are everything. the advanced stuff is nice, but if you cant get the stance work etc. then theres no point in any of it.

  • i practise 2 kung fu styles and Taekwon-do

    im 14 and dutch

im an amateur in kung fu and a TKD white belt, but i just started, making fast improvement

i like how every style had something nicer than the other

  • @TheMadtoine If you're Dutch, be true to your country and do Dutch Muay Thai!

I won't tell you not to do Wing Chun though But I mean fuck it, If I was from Thailand I'd know some Muay Thai, If I was Korean I'd know some TKD, but I'm not and I know them all anyway.

  • @Westley0907 yea but isnt dutch muay thai just a spin off of thailand muay thai? its not an original dutch martial art is it?

  • I want to practice this with hundreds of people in Shinjuku eki, all wearing a funny costume.

  • Thank u very much for posting these videos, i am a big fan of and respect all kung fu, but i am very intrested in Wing Chun and is a style i really want to master. Thanks Again!!!

  • thanks for this i really appreciate i am from puerto rico and theres no teacher of wing chun here and a few friends and i wants to learn youre a good person for doing this.

  • 4/4! :)

  • @MegaHighTech are you slow? he said 30/70 with most wieght on da back leg...since you want to criticize, i guess ill just go and watch your vidoes and learn something youve become a master in...oh wait. what have you done with your life?

  • @YungTagger89

Pretty ironic since both of you have probably achieved about the same. Let's do a quick check of your age, and his.... Oh look at that! 20 and 22 years old. So assuming you made it through high school... both of you have diplomas... Way to go!

  • thank you for all the lessons you gave away on the internet I am no martial artist i just like this really much and i really enjoy the work you made for us thank you again

  • this is like baqua footwork without the circle. this is good.

  • Just for laughs (please don't flame me) those guys in the movie "Kaiji カイジ賭博默示錄" would have no problems surviving the "Brave Men Road" if they all practiced this... but prolly the movie would have made no sense... lol.. anyways, great vid, and thank you.

  • hey, will anytime of the day do? because i got school, but im also pretty desperate to learn this.

  • Thank you Master Wong! These videos are a really big help!! :)

  • thank you so much Master Wong for your videos,

  • Thank you Master Wong.

  • I like how he says "perticular"! xD anyway, great video! tnx ...

  • ty master wong ur videos are simple and easy to understand as well as easy to follow when practiced. i will begin practicing these exercises, this is what i needed to add to my list of exercises.

  • does he say seventy seventy or something in every video?

Can't figure out what he means:(

  • @Karashinkun I think he's saying seventy-thirty. He must mean weight distribution. I hope that's what he means because that's what I'm doing. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, please. :)

  • Thank you Master Wong

  • Master Wong,You have my everlasting respect for sharing your knowledge and expertise! *bows*

  • thank you master Wong! i'm enjoing this alot

    it's very simple and effective

  • R$R$R$! Legal que você tenha lições através do youtube. Você está ensinando até mesmo pessoas mal intensonadas. Ainda bem que esta tudo errado! RSRSRS!

  • its a great teach.. and its free.. and cool..XD =D

  • On this particular exercise. .

    I LOL'D! xDDD

  • Very good explaination.... But by showing that stance, should you not be explaining why you hold your hands in that position? To protect the central line... This is not a criticism, I have yet to watch the rest of your video's and think it is good that you wish to teach wing chun online! It is an art that is not as popular as some of the other martial arts, but I believe it is more ecenomical and effective! If you also practice Tai Chi, they find themselves complimenting one another!

  • Master Wong is one of the few teachers who actually give free lessons on youtube, he can sound kinda funny at times but his teachings are most appreciated

  • "on this par-chickular excersise"

  • Martial arts are not used to show off , only people in their right mind use their talents properly , it is used to protect yourself or the others.

  • ''for this pachicula exercise'' this guy sounds funny but awesome

  • particccccccccuuuuuuuullllllarrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Yes Master!!

  • yo this is hot i have a book on wing chun by Micheal Tse and Ip Chun and im always saying why is martial arts so expensive chey chey sifu Wong

  • keep u with the lessons sensei! i want to learn any self defense... i don't wanna be a victim for the 3rd time! i dnt wanna sit there anymore and cry! i wanna fight!

  • @CainaAKI

in that case you could start calling him sifu and not sensei ^^

don´t you ever confuse chinese and japanese martial arts =P

and if you really want to learn successfully a way of defending, join a club or sth. lol

  • I believe that is called the zen

  • i love how Master Wong demonstrates, says what he has to say, then moves onto the next one. this man is professional and no nonsense. Bless him.

  • when i saw that ip man movie

i got inspired to take wing chun lessons.

thank you sifu for the hard work and for posting free lessons. it helps alot

    godbless

  • Thats right like in the classic styl this is the wester styl

  • hmm don´t you usually keep your heel, of the foot you pull after, on the ground to keep always your stable stand and your bodyweight in your armactions ? ( like attacks blocks etc.)

  • if you are a martial artist u should respect every art and every teacher. good and hard work done by master wong for free u must honer his work

    stop talking nonscence

  • Respect isn't given simply because someone has a title like "sensei" or "master", respect is to be earned.

  • @AdamSwaluk

all u have to do is not watching his vids!

don't talk bad and don't waste your time watching someone you don't like!

    thank you.

  • @10ninja196

you must honor the dictionary and learn to spell!

  • @10ninja196 "For free" He ist youtubepartner and gets more ´money than my father at work.

  • @10ninja196 i agree with ninja cuz i study like 3-4 martial arts karate, jujitsu, eskrima and muay thai

  • Im not surprised that you all talk trash to master wong cuz from what I heard that alot of people talked trash to Bruce Lee.. you and all are alike freak! There is no, better than you and me.. All he is trying to teach us some who never know or little about Wing Tsun. If you feel disagree the keep it yourself, only coward talk negative to other! period!

  • You wanna know a secret about trapping? It is the ultimate dexterity tool for grappling and striking!!!! this is what sooooo many mma guys overlook as well as most martial artists. i did trapping for years and when i finally learned to grapple, it was so easy to learn. Does a boxer fight the way he hits a speed bag? no but he still uses it, because it a DEXTERITY TOOL =0 goodluck in your training....and may the chun be with you.....

  • Well said. This could basically be applied to 99% of Youtube comments.

  • its an exercise thing :)

  • @casanova520 What Wing Tsun? Is it still Wing Chun? (Sorry for this stupid question.)

  • @Azulreddevil4

Wing Tsun is a more direct and brutal form of Wing Chun, but the principles of centerline and CQC still apply. Wing Tsun practitioners think a bit differently than WC practitioners in that they believe you cannot possibly anticipate an opponent's incoming attacks well enough to properly guard against them, so the idea is to focus on a set of moves that cover the most ground and inflict as much brutal damage as possible. It's kind of like the "dark side" of Wing Chun.

  • @MaestroDraven Thanks for taking your time to reply. =) Which would you recommend someone should practice? Like me, I just want to learn how to defend myself very good against multiple opponents. I don't really care about seriously hurting someone. Unless needed to.

  • @Azulreddevil4

Well, either art is good. One is just more direct than the other. I would sincerely suggest seeking out a qualified Wing Chun teacher, though. WC gives you the basis for near-limitless options. Keep in mind though, while WC is definitely good for self-defense, it's primarily an offensive art in theory. When you fight, you NEVER back up. You always move forward until your opponent is laid out cold. Against multiple opponents, Wing Chun is absolutely devastating.

  • idiot roots impact a style but it is how you adapt to the style alone not the roots that they contained

  • Souljabarb but you speak non scence their is no such Japenese style of fighting or martial arts. Sensei or Sifu they are both just a way for us to respect a teacher.

  • First off kid nonsense is one word.

If an art originates from Japan I consider it Japanese,

(learn your roots because the origin greatly impacts the style)

also the conversation was about correct terms.

Please go spent your time elsewhere keyboard warrior.

  • Sqeak Sqeak, blah blah blah, Sqeak Sqeak, blah blah blah, body foward blah blah sqeak. This is nonscence Wing Chun is an exellent foundation for combat but their is some nonscence inside of its roots. The only usefullness of doing this is learning disipline and simplicity of movement which he forgot to mention of course.

  • i really like it...

    very accurate...

    tnx to you master wong

  • Thanks Sifu :D

  • This is awsome been out of practice of wing chun for a few years after my sensei stopped teaching to have a family this is so useful for getting back into the martial art especially remembering the basics. thanks

  • You're retarded you never learned wing chun

and if you did the person who taught you didn't educate you or he was full of shitt.

    Sensei!!???

    thats japanese you idiot

you may have learned some Japanese martial arts but you don't know any Chinese.

    The correct term is Sifu...

Now practice saying that a few times before you try talking out of your ass again.

  • Ok whats with all the hate I am not talking out my arse this is very useful and Im sorry I got confused with Sifu and Sensei. I am studying Japanese and unfortunately as anyone who studies foreign languages will tell you, words get mixed up in your head. If you have nothing better to do then trawl you tube to insult people I suggest investing your time more wisely.

  • @souljabarb seeing that your username has soulja means that you are retarded.good night

  • just want to add-up my thanks as well, I wil be starting my Wing Chun classes next week which I'm really excited about and I was looking for something that I can practise on my spare time, because I really want to do my best with this Martial Art and than I found your lessons... They're simply amazing ! I mean I was total stranger to this and now I "know how to move and stuff... it is easy to understand and learn and very helpfull. You are really a great person Master Wong, 谢谢

  • What's 70 70? is tht the angle at which your feet are pointing? so that they are paralell?

  • 70% of your weight on your rear leg. 30% on the front leg.

  • Definately? Thanks, maybe he says it twice to remind you that with every step you must put 70 percent of your weight on your back foot once you stop moving.

  • Thank you master wong!!! nice clothes, adidas? Now moderns sifus uses modern clothing, very comfortable

  • thank you for this, i dont have wing chun school at my town, so i will practice this for close combat defense in addition to my capoeira training

  • same here.

  • mickey mouse is the man

  • Thank you Master Wong!!!

  • I love waking up early so ill try some of these excersises, and i might be in some fights soon.

  • correct. the point is not to make you walk like this at all times. if you are 10 feet away from someone, you do not do 8 steps.

But when you are within arms distance of each others faces, you do not take full steps.

These are close quarter movements, that ensure that you remain balanced, ready to apply full body pressure to your target.

being able to see these tiny things is key to success.. making fun of any steps, only puts you steps behind.

  • pr0xide, I have also been training wing chun, of course there are other ways of moving forwards, this video is just "basic" like it's written in the title, just for people to look at and see if they would like to start practicing wing chun etc.

  • Add to Favorite, ( Lesson 3/18 ) Thanks I will practice Now.

  • gd vids, seriously get sum trainers tht dnt squeek xD does my head in

  • Really trying to get the supporting leg slightly angled in. Alot harder than it looks. Might stick with the first two for a while. It almost feels counter-intuitive at first but i understand the feel of solidity when i adopt it that way. Gotta keep hackin away-- good stuff

  • when you step forward with the forward leg do you use alot of weight on it or is it still light?

  • still light. just enough support to move back leg

  • good lesson, I practice it every day

  • 谢谢你

  • Thanks master. The first two video doing good :)

  • His english isn't very good but he makes up for that with his wing chun xD

  • i anna be like yip manXD

  • me too xD

  • I live 20 miles away from Ipswich. I don't know how to get to to Master/Sifu Wong's lessons. How do I get there by train/bus? what day is the lessons? how long is the lessons? how many adults and children? what is the male:female ratio?

    Thanks

    Oombuddah

  • PARTICULAR

  • That mean i can fight like Young Yip Man?? OMG Coooooooool. Thanks master wong!

  • i'll see you until the next time <3

  • remember that each technique will always have pros and cons. Each wing chun style teaches differently
