What! You had me at Mermaid I wanted to be a mermaid too but I kinda believed I was going too lol. And then Virgin Islands WHATTT I;m from the Rock lol St. Thomas but just wanted to send much much love
I didnt know ppl left those white things in the eggs! lol I've always taken those out!! And yea I wanted to be a mermaid too lol!!! And yea me and my fiance are smoothie freaks yummy!!!
that smoothie addiction is no joke! i'm gonna make one right now actually. and one day when we're mermaids and you see me you betta speak and not just swim by me 'cause that would just be rude :-|
I am crying. I thought I was the only one to take that white string from eggs lol. I wasn't always like that but I noticed it one day and that was it I don't want to see it in my eggs lololol
Mermaids rock! I loved mermaids growing up too. I wasn't fortunate enough to grow up near the ocean but when the movie the little mermaid came out i was in elem. school and i watched it like a million times.
LOL Girl you are too funny and very entertaining! You need to be on TV. You are 6'1??? Wow. I feel the same way about eggs. I call it the string too! I have to mix it really good with the wire wisk so that I see no white. The smoothie sounds good.
that is so funny, I take the "string " out of eggs too, I guess I was raised the same also, but my mom used to call it the "eye", those island moms !!! LOL
I take out the Chalazae also and I can only eat eggs and Pancakes as soon as they come out of the Pan hot, also my mom, papi and sister don't eat eggs because of the chalazae, I think it's common a lot in the caribbean, we are from there also, and EVERYone I know takes it out of the egg cause they say it looks nasty and it does lol. So mostly I use egg substitute since I am the only one that eats egg.
Wow you're 6'1"....that is so gorgerous!!! Now your name makes so much more sense!!! lol I'm the opposite with eggs. When I was a child I LOVED LOVED cheese eggs, but I think I ate too much....cause now I can't stand them ugh!
The stringy white portion of the egg is called the chalazae. It is there to anchor the yolk in the center of the egg. The presence of a prominent chalazae is actually an indication that the egg is fresh because as the egg ages the chalazae becomes less noticeable. I remove it too from the egg.
"one of the benefits of being a tall glamazon!" Love it!!!!
