Yeah imma have to disagree with the OP here. When I hear the term B movie, my first thought is to go to black and white 60s ultra low budget sci fi. Even if I am wrong on that I dont think B movie applies to any movie with a mainstream star in it.
@MikeDunn dude just because it's labeled a B movie doesn't mean its a bad movie. There have been many great movies in the world that have the same label, the only reason why this among the greats is labeled B is because while the audience loves it, The critics don't.
Actually, this was a blockbuster in its day. I remember the girls waiting for hours to get in to see it. I saw it in a theater in California with my brother and sister-in-law. Compared to todays films it's sooo B flick, same with the Van Dam movies.

C'mon, this IS a b movie all the way. Swayze was in all the good b movies....Dirty Dancing, Point Break, The Outsiders, Red Dawn and ROADHOUSE!
