  • lol recoil pad is "squishy" no prob with that though

  • @MrThepipelayer1 Fuck Walmart. They are an anti gun company. Wont let you buy ammo at the same time, then perp walk you out the door like you stole it. Fuck Walmart.

  • omfg you get what you pay for the barrel is all i care for. people bitch way to fucking much about cheap guns will it's supposed to have this and this ans this then why don't you go buy a fucking 900 rifle that has all that shit? because you cant afford it 900 compared too 300???? hmmmmmmmmm 300 every time.

  • @trigun890 wtf bitch about the price ? the price is amazing for the quality of this gun i could see this gun going easy for 500+ ive had one for 10 years now no problems.verry verry acurate. and ive taken down 5 deer and one elk with it so far. so i dont see whats there to bitch about

  • @MrPirateSir1 that comment is going is going to all the people that bitch that the trigger is heavy and that it don't have an accu stock. maybe you should had read some more of the comments. i myself like the gun and would get it in 223 so that way i have cheap ammo to shoot all day.

  • need more videos like this, where people KNOW WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT :) and let you see what your looking for. thanks man!!! and nice store i'm on the est cost of Canada wee don't have a store like that it would just be to easy and make to much sense! theirs hunting and fishing stores just their fuckin hidden!

  • Timney makes a replacement trigger for the Edge that sells for $100. It has an overtravel adjustment, sear adjustment, and trigger pull adjustment. Gunblast.com has a review of the Timney trigger and it turns the rifle into a "real nice shooter".

  • beats a savage i don't think so the 700 my uncle had was the worst thing I've ever shot couldn't get a dime size group with it over 200 yards and his was a messed up one you couldn't take a live round out of it or it would fire he found that out the hard way shot the windshield in his truck with it i just got this gun in 30-06 with a cheap center point 4-16x40 can hit a soda can at 400 yards 9 times out of 10 shots as for the bolt it's a savage they always sucked hehe

  • @masterofnotmuch Wow... dime sized groups at 200, minute of soda can at 400... in an Aught Six. Bullshit. Unless that gun was firing nothing but handloads and the gun was a heavily modified custom bench gun... Bullshit.

  • @masterofnotmuch savages are great great gun and for all these people saying "o this is a beginner gun' savages are great guns ... so what i am saying is eather u guys cant shoot and or stupid because allmost no savage is junk they are some the most accurate guns out there and i could shoot a dime size group with a 22 at 200 yards so get some experience

  • I have this in .270 win, in my opinion it feels a lot better to shoot than the 770 or atr 100 that my brothers use, it hold about a 1'' group at 250 yards, only problem i have with it is the 6.5 lb trigger pull and the super light front end.

  • The mossburg atr is a much better value

  • how is this better than the model 200?

  • Out of the box extractor issues anyone? Not a reccomended buy from this owner... Just got it a week ago and shot it today for the first time. I doubt it's a break in thing... Will go buy brass rounds next trip out to see if there's a difference...

  • @ZZRgirl11 Steel cased ammo? This isn't an AK.

  • in comparison to a remmington 700 SPS how does this go for accuracy and reliability? please someone help meee! also price wise.

  • @StunnedMutha The Remington beats it... but the Axis is really quite decent for the cash.

  • @MadOgre mmm, cash is the biggest thing. I live in Australia so everything is ridiculously overpriced anyway. Id be expcting to pay $800 maybe for a savage edge. I dont wanna know how much I'd have to pay for a remmington D:

  • just got a savage 111 in 300 win mag. have not shot it yet.

  • I own one, they are really nice for a cheap rifle, the bolt is relatively smooth (better than most of the competition at that price!) and accurate, I love my Edge XP. :D

  • VERY accurate rifle!

  • This gun is a POS. There are better rifles out there for the money.

  • @huntwithairguns Can you please refer us some other guns that are better for the money?

  • @Mlizar Marlin X rifles and the Stevens 200 come to mind.

  • @huntwithairguns Did you get a lemon? I have one that shoots sub moa at 100 yards.

  • is it bad to dry fire this gun? I saw you do it and i thought that was hard on them. please correct me if im wrong.

  • @ScriptKitty1 No, its fine.

  • @MadOgre Its actualy not the best thing to do to a gun.

  • @DRXFLYBOY It's not going to hurt it. Rimfires are different, but his gun isn't a rimfire.

  • @ScriptKitty1 only for rim fires, but with centre fires the firing pin does not hit metal on metal when there is no cartridge chambered.

  • can you buy big capacity magazines for this rifle?

  • do you think this is better than the savage 200

  • can you install front and rear sights on an edge?

  • Oh, anyone: I found a great deal locally for the Axis at $280 something. I really wanted the XP(included scope), how is that one? Unfortunatley, they don't have the XP in stock right now. I don't know much about scopes at all so I don't know what I would get without the XP one anyways

  • Damn, man..I really wanted my 2nd firearm to be a handgun but THIS rifle is screwing me up right now hahah. I want this in .223 really bad =/ Great price, I'll have to see how much it is in store then browse some sites

  • Just bought this gun in a .243 win and love the way it feels and looks although I have not shot it yet I am expecting good things. I shopped around a little bit at the local stores and found it at Sportsmans Warehouse for $253.00 I cant wait to get it out and shoot it a little bit.

  • can you get this rifle in a .204

  • The new savage axis xp looks like a great rifle for the price it took over the edge

  • @outdoorsman9288 same gun just dif name

  • great gun. have it in .223. i agree with the trigger being heavy but the bolt will loosen up after a box of shells goes through it. recoil pad is very nice, i was very surprized at how accurate it is for 300$. using hornady v max ammo. about 1/2 inch shot group at 100 yards. put a couple shots through the same holes. the barrel is even floated. the high end remington varmit rifle doesnt even float the barrel for 700$

  • Comment removed

  • can u get this rifle in 7mm?

  • i have a few questions

    1. do they have models that come with scopes?

    2. is it acurate?

  • @MrToadland1 yes they have scope models. i picked up a .223 with a bushnell 3-9x42 1inch shot groups at 100 yards with hornady v max ammo. I couldnt be happier with it. and the price was right

  • i just bought one of these last night. at East Coast Gun Sales in Altoona PA for $289 and comes with a Bushnell sharpshooter 3x9x40 scope. i got the gun in .223 for groundhog and coyotes because i dont blow apart stuff with the .270 but i am highly impressed with this gun it shoots great

  • Have you shot that yet I would really want to get it and would like to know how it shoots. Im lookin to get the .243 model.

  • whats the accu-stock?

  • @protokingg Cant explain it in a comment look on savages website. There is an excellent video on the technology.

  • and you can put that new accue or whatever trigger on that bitch. i have been hearing great things about this rifle!! if i lived in your area i would be picking it up from you.

  • i love when a proffesional analysis uses the word squishes

  • how many rounds it carry in the mag?

  • @theswimer419 i get 5 rounds in my mag. but on the savage webpage they say 4 rounds. cheers from norway

  • Cool!

  • Just bought in 30-06. Can't wait to take to the range.

  • Good video I am also buying this rifle in a 30-06 caliber

  • cant find the scope mount base for this gun....which ones are they...alot people said to use the savage 110 bases....mine is also a .308

  • @MadOgre I got my .308 calibur savage edge xp with scope for 305 at buds. Then I just had to pay a $25 processing fee at my local gun shop. He does charge like $1 per $100 for payment via credit card. So I had $4 worth of fees. I also had to pay $12 for the ammo and gun case shipping as well. Not bad. About $398 for the gun, allen generic rifle case, and two boxes of ammo.

  • I love this gun have it in 30-06 i don't think it has a sticky bolt but the trigger is a little hard to pull but i LOVE this gun :D

  • is it redy to go for a sope

  • iv got one in 25-06 and i love it. i have no problem with the sticky bolt, the only bad thing is the heavy trigger

  • would it really kill these manufacturers to put iron sights on these rifles? it's a cool looking gun and it's the right price but man i just hate scopes.

  • @MrJumbolegz i'd have to agree with you there im 18 years old and have earned an Expert ranking through the NRA marksmanship course using iron sights. They're on my hunting rifle too, its an older gun though. They just wont put them on the new guns because of everyones using scopes now

  • my only concern is the longevity of this gun...what its made with and the mags.....I mean the mag clip wont snap at some point? idk seems pretty cheap looking but I could be wrong....

  • i would take quality over looks anyday more and more i look into this the more i dont like it

  • Its this or a Marlin XL-7 for me. I am really worried about the 6-8lb trigger pull on the edge.

  • idk about the longevity of this gun if its made of these material. I love savage but idk about this product....

  • @Peidmonte89 It's really nice,. trust me

  • I think a sticky bolt and trigger is worth it :)

  • since my brother is buying this i have to buy a Stevens

  • Don't count the Stevens out. It still has the model 110 action which in my opinion is superior.

  • tc's for the win

  • does the store has a website

  • @MadOgre There is local pawn shop who will transfer it for $15.

  • nice and squishy lol, nice review man

  • Thanks for the review.

  • @MrTadaaaaaaaaaaaa Probably not. But that is not saying that there are not other trigger options that could work.

  • @MadOgre Yes it can. It is made to accept the Accu-Trigger and Accu-Stock.

  • @homeschooler360 Really? Right on. At the time the Factory Rep brought this in - he didn't know. He had just been given the rifle and some literature just before he came out to see us.

  • Someone told me savage supported the assault weapons ban... I won't buy anything savage after hearing that.

  • @JobForAGunXx did you fact check that?

  • @MadOgre No sir. I will soon tho.

  • @JobForAGunXx Let me know what you find.

  • @JobForAGunXx You're going to believe what someone told you without checking it out for yourself? I just looked around for something about this and I couldn't find anything saying this. So therefor I don't believe it.

  • @huntwithairguns I'm not sure and didn't say I believed it. Just said someone told me.

  • @JobForAGunXx But you also said that you aren't buying anything Savage after hearing that, so that means you must have believed it...whatever though, I don't want to start an argument.

  • @JobForAGunXx I belive you are thinking of "The Ruger Letter" from Bill Ruger.

  • What calibers does this come in.

  • savage is homo

  • o come on savage they need to make them all with the better trigger nice looken gun tho

  • What's the caliber?

  • @AndrewXAnarchy

looks like .308 but feel free to correct me

  • nice budge rifle from Savage
