nice truck but you need a different size turbo... at wide open your not burnin alot of your fuel and pourin like 75+hp out the stack. match the fuel and air right and see if you dont see a huge improvement!
It's a catch 22. A bigger turbo on a 6.0 that is non VGT is retarded for driving on the street. Turbo lag from hell. Garret just released a 64mm VGT turbo, which I'm putting on the '62. I already pulled these injectors and put them in the '62 Powerstroke.
@houseofdiesel now that you mention it your right, theres not much for aftermarket vgt turbos. the only one im really familiar with is that huge "cheetah" vgt turbo i think its a 71mm. you put a 6.0 in a '62 ford??? thats nasty! video?

Hell ya! They even used it to design the newest Superduty Concept the Super Chief. I personally didn't care for it too much, and it's too bad it's oversize belt buckle grill made it to the new 2011 model. At least a grill is easy to change out.

I really dig my 6.0 honestly. Ive got friends with cummins (all pre- 07) and its like whatever. It aint gonna matter unless ur gonna unload like $10k into the motor, then yea, take a cummins. im stickin with ford cuz im not gonna spend that and i work it everyday. And i really dig this video
blah, blah, blah...Then your not a Ford guy. lol It'll only shit on a Powerstroke till the tranny blows, or the ball joints fail, or the frame cracks... I have both and ya maybe my Cummins puts out more power easier, cheaper and more reliably than my Stroker (MODIFIED), but for daily work, which is why we usually buy trucks, I'll take a Ford over anything else every day.

Just to let you know I have to hot wire my 06 Mega Cab to do a burnout. It has a electronic lockup that won't allow it to even do a brake stand otherwise.
no, you need a programmer that takes away the roque mangement. smarty, etc. get a rolling start then slam the brakes and you may be able ot overcome the stock TM settings once the truck sees a little wheel speed.
Between the Smarty that I have and Chris Warner 2008 Diesel Power Champion you'd think we could've figured that out. I don't know...kinda pissed me off. We tried it for a while until we finally wore out our welcome with the '97 and '05.
If you can afford the live wire, go for it. Order it from Innovative. They have the most extensive tunes, and just keep your fingers crossed you get the ones you like first try. The SCT's greatest attribute is it's tuneability. Just sometimes it can take a few to get it right.
Cool. What should i expect to pay each time i want to try a different tune, later on, after initial purchase? and will they always send you tunes in sets of "3" ?
Also, i still have stock HG's, with edge prgmr/exhst/intke, should i prepare for HG's w/ ARP stud job with the SCT?

Dude! Mighty impressive. Powerstroke is the only way to go. One of my buddies has a 6.0 total banks modified and it is like that. If you know what you are doing you can make a ford tough to hang with. Awesome video bro keep them up!!!
Is your bd turbo VGT? Also stock trans?

@hondatuner88 No it is their old turbo. They have a newer updated you, but most people are running the direct replacement VGT now days. Trans is BD.
