How do you use a Microkorg as a midi controller? What cables do you need? I have a Motu Ultralite that has a midi in and out so would I plug the Microkorg out into the soundcard's in? I don't want Microkorg sounds, I want the VST sounds and Ableton instruments.

im guessing that the electribe has an input and an output on the back :S so come from the electribe into the kaoss and then into the amp ? Thats just a guess lol

Very nice bro. I have an R3, KP3, and EMX1, what is the advantage of hooking these up midi style. I just run audio in and outs. I havent quite figured out the midi purpose. If there is any way you could explain that would be sweet because you have basically my exact set up. Again great jam.

keeps them all in synch man, the exact same tempo, plus u can record a line in the emx and it will play the r3 sounds you just have to use one synth of the emx, thats why i didnt even touch the microkorg keyboard it was all recorded already if u got anymore questions ill be glad to help

I have a microkorg and electribe, can I get the sounds from the microkorg to run through the sequencer on the electribe? How do you do this? I have tried connecting via a midi cable. Do I need to run 2 midi cables?

All i can say is $1,300 well spent. i have the microkorg and it's taken me some saving but my EMX is on it's way, and i'm looking into what i want next. the KP3 is high on the list though! what do you think? any other recommendations? Sweet tune man!

yeah emx is really fun its a must, kp3 its pretty cool also maybe you should get some software like ableton live, it really helps a lot and its really powerful but if u want hardware get a nice sampler maybe u could buy the ESX :) haha either way go for what u like in the end its all that matters and have fun!
